Altefaehr on Rügen can be reached by ferry or by car in 10 minutes . The property is 1.7 km. Away from the Rügendamm and the Rügen Bridge. A continental and a la carte breakfast is available all day in a cafe 100 meters away. Free Wi-Fi and room service, as well as a cozy lounge for preparing coffee and tea or for reading and a fridge compartment are available. A lockable bicycle room is available. E-bikes batteries may only be stored and charged in the safety boxes provided by us for insurance reasons.

“A house of character in the centre of the old town”
Great location within the old town. The house itself is full of character and has been well conserved - we loved the wonderful statue of the eponymous monk that stands by the front door! The cleaning service is excellent.

“Great place to stay, perfect location for exploring Stralsund.”
The personal touch by the owner - you are a guest, not a number. Furniture selection in the rooms, books in the front room, in short "Hyggeligt". Location is perfect for walks and close to attractions in Stralsund. DB Railway station is 20 min walk. History of the house shows being past and present. Breakfast arrangement with local bakery is excellent.

“Lovely house with lots of character.”
We simply loved the Pension and its surroundings (die Altstadt). We also met the hosts and some of their colleagues on several occasions and they were all really friendly and outgoing. As other reviewers have mentioned, breakfast is available via vouchers in a café just around the corner (Mein Backhus). With so many edible attractions on offer, it's quite easy to exceed the limit of the voucher (€ 9.50 in 2023), but we didn't mind too much because the food and the coffee (we didn't have the filter coffee) were fresh and tasty. Some of the ladies at the café were nicer than some others, but we just decided to get over that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
