Overview
Surrounded by nature, Tube 'n Axe Backpackers is located in Storms River Village, 14 km from Tsitsikamma National Park. It offers functional accommodation with a garden, an à la carte restaurant, water sports facilities and a tour desk. The accommodation consists of chalets, double rooms, dormitories with large bedding and an elevated bush camp site for tents. The private and shared bathrooms come with a shower and a toilet. Guests are offered traditional African dishes in the restaurant of Tube 'n Axe Backpackers. Special diet menus and packed lunches can be requested. Guests of the hostel can use the free barbecue facilities on site. The area around Tube 'n Axe Backpackers offers a number of outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking and snorkelling. Blackwater Tubing is just 50 metres away. Tsitsikamma Falls Adventures is a 15-minute walk.

“Very positive experience”

“Great value for money, amazing local knowledge”
Beautiful rooms, wonderful, friendly and social staff and amazing facilities. The restaurant was ok — quite basic food and it took a while to arrive, but very affordable prices. The staff had amazing local knowledge and always tried to help with tips and bookings, the owner tipped us about some beautiful and untouched hikes which we were so happy to experience. The stay was beyond expectation. Great value for money. 10/10 would recommend.

Everything... This was our second visit to the lodge and we love every minute of our stay. Facilities are on point the staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating.. The rooms are always amazing. Definitely our stay over when we in the area.

The ease of location to all the activities and the village, the bonfire every night, and the pool and hot pool were fantastic. It felt very safe.

“Very nice place to stay”
Amazing, relaxed vibes. Beautiful boma, great swimmimg pool area, and the Kol kol hot tubs were an absolute hit for relaxing sore muscles after activities in the nearby Tsitsikamma reserve. Nice food in the restaurant, and prices very reasonable. Would definitely want to come back!
