This summer house has something special from the moment you open the door and get inside! Everything was more than perfect, I felt like on my own house and stay there it's a real good experience to live in Iceland! Congrats to the owners

The hot tub was heated and ready to use when we arrived at the cottage. It was a perfect place to relax and watch the Northern lights. They even provided slippers and robes for us to use and the cottage was very cozy. Excellent!

Not prepared no water no heater.how to stay for 2nights.my car was stuck in the snow.they didn't clear the way driving in. Inform me no water will we are checking in at 12.pm...ask for refund for 1 night.. agreed but didn't..I need to rebook for hotel wasting my money.I paid €429.. Booking.com not solving problems too. So disappointed. Iceland county n house owner.. won't come back n don't recommend to my friends.

“Cosy little cottage”

A charming, cosy cottage with a wonderful ambience that truly brings you back to nature. Loved how warm and inviting the place felt—perfect for a peaceful getaway.

“Cosy and genuinely charming as long as you're realistic”

I got what I expected. It is a remote and quaint but pleasant cottage, which indeed makes it cosy, and the automatic hot tub makes for great stargazing too. For the price I feel it was worth it, just make sure you come at an appropriate time of year and know what to expect.

The place looks tired: the furniture has broken covers, the kitchen surface has holes, the bed creaks, the paint is peeling, the front door doesn't open properly, it hits the floor, and the shower mount is about to fall off. We had to tighten the screw in the teapot and the saucepan, otherwise they would have fallen apart. I don't understand how this can create a cozy atmosphere? And when entering and leaving you have to break your fingers, pulling the target out of a ring with a narrow hole - I thought we wouldn't be able to open the gate. The owner answers in Icelandic when communicating, although I wrote in English.

The house is nicely furnished, well-kept and clean. We spent a nice night there and, well-rested, we set off on our journey.

Cottage in the middle of nowhere, nice connection to nature all around, peace and quiet (apart from the elements, mainly wind). Extremely good views and good chances to see the northern lights when the sky is clear! Well equipped, quite clean but a bit older in terms of furniture. Very nicely decorated though, cozy and very warm inside. Hot tubs are the icing on the cake! Perfect getaway from touristy locations on iceland.

“Couldn't stay.”

Someone took our cabin, and we had to stay at a shared hostel like place, (which wasnt what we wanted) we arrived very late, but they answered the phone and took care of the situation (changed our private cabin for a shared room in the other place) which was pretty much enough to spend the night... We can't say anything about this location other than if someone mistakes their cabin for yours, you pretty much have to switch places (or not have any issues arriving at normal hours like we did)

Very calm Region and great hot tub.

fire extinguisher out of date, and had no pressure, not good in a place like this in case of a fire, smoke alarm tester button broken… frying pan dirty and dirty glasses, probably from former users… hot tub not hot enough, but it was wery cold outside😊

“disappointing “private” cabin”

We booked a private cabin and thought there would be a private bathroom within the cabin. However, the owner did not specify anything about the bathroom situation, and turned out we have to go to the main guesthouse for showering. We wanted the private cabin for more privacy, but what kind of private cabin doesn’t have its own shower? Should’ve clarified more about the property’s info.
