“Perfect stay in Vesterålen”

Had a really great time here, a pity the time here was short. Happened to meet the very hospitable hosts when we arrive, & it is nice they are just next door should we need anything. The spacious house was fitted with modern amenities - relatively good heating, comfortable beds, a good shower, well equipped kitchen, everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Appreciated the snacks & the few other items for us. There was some information on where to visit around Vesterålen & I was glad to heed their recommendation.

Thank you Karl and Rita for the hospitality. A wonderful charming house with a good vibe (well furnished) and everything you need is there. The location is perfect, really quiet. I hope we come back in the near future.

“Enchanting beautiful place”

I am a heavy user of booking.com. This is by far the most beautiful accommodation that I ever booked. The wonderful, idyllic, charming, enchanting house (do I need to go on?) made us feel so good! The hosts, Rita and Karl (who live nextdoor) are super friendly. We found a lot of goodies (beer, chips, eggs, cheese etc) in the kitchen for us to use. I am a home chef and I like to cook my favorite meals. This is not always easy due to the lack of the right “tools”. This kitchen, however, had everything I need. There is no television but with an enchanting view from every single window, you don’t even want the distraction of a TV. We only stayed for two days….., wish we had booked for more!

“Truly remarkable house in a beautiful landscape”

An authentic Scandinavian house, carefully renovated and filled with beautiful objects (dishes, etc) by kind and welcoming hosts, becomes this truly beautiful and peaceful place with all the comfort you need. Although we enjoyed slow days with the views from the house in the morning or evenings in front of the fireplace, you are well connected to the Lofoten for a day trip (ferry from Melbu) or nearby Stokmarknes with places to stock up on groceries or a floating sauna you can book. Bonus: if you are visiting at the right time of the year and are a bit lucky as well, you can see northern lights from the house or right behind.

“Perfect getaway”

This is the house with soul. Wonderful, magical place with interior done passionately and tastefully. Old fashioned, rural and super cozy and comfortable. Must not forget the stove which is delightful and guarantee relaxing vibe. Kitchen very well equipped. House was super clean, hosts were all nice and helpful. Highly recommended in every season. We spent only one night but would love to a lot more
