A big thank you to Markos and his family, who were always there for us when we needed something. The accommodation is very clean and very well equipped. The location is very quiet away from the main street, and we can also achieve everything on foot. We can recommend the accommodation.

“Safe, secure family run apartment near famous Zorba’s beach.”

Super clean. Very friendly family run apartments. Shaded main balcony, louvred doors and windows with integrated insect mesh help keep property cool. There is air conditioning also. 15-20min walk to Gold Coast beach AKA Zorba’s beach. This is a nice beach with clear water in a protected bay with spectacular mountain directly in view of beach.

The accommodation was well equipped. The room was clean and cleaned regularly. The kitchen was equipped with good quality crockery, a kettle, microwave, stove and refrigerator. There were lots of cupboards in the room, providing plenty of storage space. The terrace was huge, with an exceptionally beautiful view of the mountains! The air conditioners worked well and there were mosquito nets on the windows. The mattresses on the beds and pillows were a little unusual, but we got used to them after a while. The kitchen chairs are comfortable. The parking is covered, and there is enough space for cars. In short, the conditions are excellent! Only the slow internet spoiled the impression a little, but this was more of an issue for the children.

- very friendly and welcoming hosts (during our stay we were given some fruits from the garden and homemade snacks) - comfy and clean apartment (cleaning was done almosf every day, but never intrusive. Halfway through our stay there was a change of towels.) - great price - shadowed parking place - good accessibility - beautiful garden - close to small markets - lots of cats and goats in the vicinity

Very friendly host family. Genuine, decent people. Fruit, raki and biscuits were provided on arrival and the mum subsequently brought some strawberries. The building had a pleasant, homely feel to it. Quiet location. Covered parking available on site. The kitchen contained everything I needed.

Place is nice, apartments have everything you need for a short stay. Pictures really match the description and are accurate. The owners are exceptional!

“Extraordinary experience we strongly recommend”

Comfy and clean apartment with everything one needs. Well located and near three beautiful beaches, delicious restaurants, and grocery stores within walking distance. Very quiet and relaxing property with the most amazing hospitality experience we have ever experienced. If we have the possibility to visit Crete again, our stay at Skamagkas is certain. Family Skamagkas were fantastic in every aspect. Mr and Mrs Skamagkas along with their two sons Marko and Giorgo are exceptional hosts with something special they offer to each and every guest. Not only made to feel at home, but a part of the family. Greeted with local delights as well as the odd BBQ thrown in the honor of all guests you quickly realise that this isnt any normal lodging. The facilities and cleanliness are top notch. Expectiations are exceeded and you are left with a very warm feeling. Highly recommended.

This is a place where you can find tranquility, relax and every benefit while living in nature near the sea. As a lovely addition, all day long you can listen to the music of cicadas. The Skamagkas family is very welcoming, friendly, helpful and care about you in every aspect. Highly recommend, one of the best acommodation one can choose.

Everything from the start to the end of the stay was great and exceptional (in a good way of course). Markos and his family are truly welcoming and they are the best example of Greek hospitality. The host is very helpful - first night when we arrived, Markos drove us to supermarket and helped us with groceries, also showed local beach and restaurants which we should visit, also during the stay we were provided even with some food treats. Our stay was perfect. The house was very clean and well equiped. The owners were so kind with us, they welcomed us with their garden’s products and also invited us for a barbecue dinner kindly prepared by them. The location was very calm and relaxing. We surely recommend it!

“Sweetest stay near the beach”

They’ll make you fall in love! This is a small, family-run accommodation, and they are super welcoming and hospitable. They’ve shared fruits and veggies from their garden, sweets and raki, so much care that it felt like being at a friends’ place. The flat itself was new and very clean, simple but with everything needed in the bathroom and kitchen. Nice position just a bit outside of Chania, tranquillity of the countryside, walking distance from several beaches, and ideal to explore around if you rent a scooter/car. Super nice list of suggestions for things to try around!

We spent a fantastic week at this apartment. The whole family is lovely, they are the best hosts at Stavros! :) Fruits and vegetables from the garden, raki, homemade chocolate made our stay more comfortable by them. We had everything for a great summer trip. The apartment is well-equiped, very clean and comfortable. We travelled with 2 children, they were comfy, too. The beach and small shops, restaurants are near. If you rent a car, you can trip a lot nearby. We recommend it, and hope that we can return!

“That's what I call welcoming hosts”

This place is simply amazing and George, and his parents, Ritsa and Giannis are the best hosts ever. From the moment of arrival you will be treated as royalty. Ritsa prepared some homemade cookies, raki and there was fresh fruit from the garden waiting. Next morning a fresh bowl of strawberries was placed on the table outside the door. Giannis' homemade liquor is something to die for. George was extremely helpful, he went out of his way to make sure everything was fine. The bed is extremely comfy (those pillows!) and the beach is not far. I cannot recommend this place enough.
