Gonzalo is extremely knowledgeable about the Falkland Islands and always ready to help with anything you need. His family is equally warm and hospitable. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Staying at Southernwind is an ideal opportunity to get to know a Falkland Islands family. Gonzalo is friendly and can provide help with tourist activities. His house is located very close to the centre of town.

Fabulous A fantastic , warm ,welcoming host. Gonzalo is amazing ! He is so keen to make your stay memorable, offering help booking trips .He even took me out to see some of the local sights. Gonzalo has a wealth of knowledge relating to the island and the wildlife which he eagerly shares. The accommodation is lovely , home from home . A great place to stay

“Fantastic stay here at Southernwind, I highly recommend it.”
My host was exceptionally welcoming and generous with his time and information about the area. The house was very comfortable and the family made me like one of the family. Gonzalo offered to give me a tour of the area which was great and there was no problem inviting people to visit and have a chat. I cannot fault the stay here, it was fantastic. Many thanks to the family!
