“Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel”

We had a wonderful stay. Charlotte & Lars were very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble for them. They made lots of suggestions about places to visit. The hotel is in a tranquil wooded location which is perfect for peace & quiet. We recommend it and would love to return.

Are you looking for a great hotel in the southeast of Gotland? Then we would like to recommend Strandakar Hotell & Restaurant. The restaurant is also highly recommended. In the hotel, which only has 12 rooms, you can get very well to rest. Each room has its own entrance and a seating area in front of the room. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard where you can also have breakfast or dinner. The nice hotel owners work in the hotel themselves and are usually present and approachable from morning to evening. There is the DeLuxe room with sleeping floor and rooms that are on one level (good for disabled people and possibly older people). The beds are super comfortable. The bathroom is very generously dimensioned. The breakfast offers everything your heart desires, including homemade muesli and jams and good coffee! We were allowed to spend six nights in the hotel. On the first evening we went to the bistro for dinner, which was very good. From the hotel we visited the entire south of Gotland. Good visiting tips are given by the hotel owner. If we come to Gotland again, we will certainly book the hotel! Thanks to the nice owners of this hotel.

The hotel is located in the middle of nature and it is a wonderful place to relax. The Strandakar team is very friendly, helpful and it is obvious that they love what they do. This makes it a beautiful little jewel. We felt very, very comfortable here.

“Absolutely fantastic stay in southern Gotland!!!”

One of the best adresses in whole Gotland! Unbelievable location in the pine-forest! So warmheart hosts, Charlotte and her husband! Helped me a lot and gave me good ideas for what i can do in Southern Gotland! Wonderfull dinners in the evening and the breakfast is all with local food, scrambled eggs fantastic!!! To everyone who wanna discover southern part of Gotland - this is the best adress! I will come back for sure.

“A marvellous experience”

A wonderful small Hotel at walking distance from the sea with stylish rooms and restaurant. Very friendly and helpful owners, who know the island very well and can provide useful advice on where to go and what to do. Excellent restaurant - we had dinner there every evening. A perfect place to spend a few days to rest or to explore the southern part of Gotland (which we did). Highly recommended.

I really liked the extraordinarily friendly staff. The hotel and rooms are rather new and really marvellous. The beach nearby is amongst the most beautiful sandbeaches I've seen on Gotland so far. Thank you so much for the nice stay :)
