“Beautiful location with easy access to the Stalos coast and wonderful hosts!”
Stunning property, we had the room on the top floor and it felt so homely. Incredible view of the coast from the balcony. Had all the appliances we needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner when we weren’t out.

The location was perfect to reach all the amazing beaches. The sea view from the room. The room was very clean, they offered us some oil and raki. I appreciated the fact that there were beach towels and umbrella.

“Clean, central, friendly and helpful!”
Melina's House is situated up the road from the main road, which is really nice, because the main road has a lot of traffic. It's only about 300 metres to the main road, and you'll find the best coffee in Kato Stalos there at Trés Jolie; they have plant milk! And great restaurants like Maria's. The bus stop is also right there on the main road (the stop is called out at "Maria's - Kato Stalos"), and it's a 7-10 minute bus ride to Agii Apostoli, and maybe 15 minutes to Xaniá. The beach is only 50 metres from the main road, with lots of tavernas on the beach. We checked out the nearby bigger towns like Agia Marina and Platanias, but Kato Stalos is so much nicer. The sunbeds are further apart and everything is more quiet. If you want a night out, Agia Marina is only 1,5 km away and you can easily walk. Melina and Adonis were so nice and helpful, and helped us with everything we needed. I got a cold from the A/C, so they fixed a fan for me. I had questions about speciality shops, and they checked it for me! Our room was cleaned all the time and there was complimentary homemade marmalade and honey in our room. 10/10 stay, we warmly recommend!

“We loved our stay”
I loved the comfortable beds and the large balcony with a beautiful view towards the sea💙. I liked that it had a fully equipped kitchen and a curtain that kept the sun away in the morning. It was clean and they changed the bed sheets and towels and cleaned the room after every 2 nights. It was spacious enough and with everything you needed (even a hair dryer). Beautiful traditional Greek location, lots of plants and trees for shadow💚, close to the beach and the tavernas, but in a quieter area than the main street and the owners were really welcoming and nice (they even lend us a beach umbrella and gave us advice which beach to go to in case of windy sea).

The room was getting very hot and there was a horrible smell coming from the drain in the bathroom. On the balcony very dangerous, if you are not careful you can hit your head on the beam. (which happened)

“Good location to explore Chania & the western Crete”
The accommodation is located not far from several beautiful beaches, one of which was within a short walking distance. The staff & the entrance were very welcoming. We had a room with a sea view and a balcony. We found it the location very convenient for our excursions.

“The perfect holiday!”
If you want to experience Cretan hospitality very near to a large and attractive beach with plenty of authentic tavernas nearby and also beautiful walks in the hills with olive groves and Mountain Views, this is the perfect place. Melina and Antonis are such kind and generous hosts who make you feel like old friends. The accommodation we stayed in was comfortable, in perfect condition, very clean and well organised with beautiful views of the sea from the balcony. There was everything we needed for our two week stay and they also lent us beach mat and sun umbrellas so we didn't have to buy them. They gave us helpful advice and answered all of our questions about the area patiently and always with a smile! We were delighted with our stay from every point of view and will be recommending it to friends and family. We also recommend our favourite Taverna, Katsaroles which just happens to be the closest! We will be back!
