Overview
Offering a stunning panoramic view over St. Moritz, this hostel provides free public Wi-Fi and a games room with billiards and table tennis. The rooms are bright and modernly furnished. Free parking for disabled guests is available on-site. Situated at the edge of the forest, the hostel is a good base to go skiing in the Upper Engadin ski region. Cross-country skiing, hiking and cycling routes are all within 60 metres from the Youth Hostel. Guests can unwind in the common lounge area with an open fireplace. Bus number 9 leaves every half hour from the centre for the Youth Hostel St. Moritz between 7:30 and 19:30. Bus service is limited during low season from mid-April to mid-June and from mid-October to mid-December. In the evening and early in the morning, guests can take the bus number 3 from the main train station to the Hotel Sonne bus stop. The hostel is a 10-minute walk away. Guests staying 2 nights or longer, receive a discounted ski pass directly at the property.

“A great budget stay in St Moritz”
The hostel was very spacious and clean. We had a 4 bunk room with a private bedroom that was great. Bus from the town stops right outside hostel which was very convenient

The transport from train station by bus was directly to the hostel gate , the hostel is bigger than other hostels. . Receptionist Sussana was great and gave good information.

“Bus 609 from St Moritz train station stops right in front of hostel”
Bus 609 outside St Moritz train station stops right at the entrance of St Moritz hostel (final stop), travel time 12mins. We took bus 609 back and forth, no probs but remember last bus from station to hostel is at 8.31pm. Clean shared facilities.

The staff were excellent. We arrived late and flustered due to train and bus difficulties but they were very calming and prepared food for us. They helped with charging phones and, pverall, they went beyond to call of duty to be super-helpful.

“Stay at St Moritz.”
The regular bus service from the railway station was very convenient. I was greeted cheerfully by the reception staff, and my room was exactly what I wanted. Warm, comfortable and large window view onto the snow. The shower and toilet was just across the hall. Dinner was very tasty with a very friendly chef serving. Good value for money. The view of the mountains from the dining area was impressive. I enjoyed a substantial breakfast, which was included in the price. Check out was easy, too. Just drop the bedding off and hand in the key card.

Very satisfied with stay, very good value for money. We had excellent skiing, hotel can arrange discounted skipasses. Bus operates between hotel and train station via city and signal bahn.
