“Pleasant stay at Hotel l'Écrin d'Ô!”

A very cosy hotel, fantastic breakfast, the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel itself. Last but not least, very friendly staff! Helpful with regards to sightseeing locations in the neighborhood and to assist for giving additional information about Spa and its center. Actually, I can't tell about any issues or improvements, thus hereby we are giving 5 stars as rating score right now 🤩. Hotel l'Ecrin is a place to come back and book again.

“Exceptional”

Thierry the host is a verry friendly person. The hotel is in an old beautiful house. The interior decoration with a lot of taste and verry confortable.

Spacious and quiet room with a lovely garden view. The breakfast was outstanding - it felt homemade, but even better. The shared space also deserves a special mention: a large living room with soft music, warm lighting, and a cozy, almost magical atmosphere. The staff were exceptional: very friendly and helpful. They gave recommendations about the city, directions, places to eat, and taxis, which made our stay much easier and more enjoyable.

“A very comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings.”

The hotel is in a great location, just outside Spa itself. The room was large and very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pretty surroundings. The breakfast was great.

“Incredible staff and rooms, very welcoming almost like family.”

Beautiful property with balconies in most rooms and a lovely common area. Staff were incredible and even set the fire up for us on the last night as we were the only couple. We also got upgraded to a suite with a bigger balcony, it was a brilliant end to our Belgian holiday.

We liked the nice breakfast with its many options of chocolate spreads with boiled eggs and minute-made waffles. Honestly the host was extremely accomodating, nice and kind. He is clearly very professional and an excellent host. The ambiance is also nicely calm and relaxing. The location is in fact quite good 10-20 min from walking trails, and 20 min to any restaurant in the main city.

The breakfast was exceptional. Quite setting. Host was the owner and very helpful. Gave excellent advice about surrounding area regarding places to see, gas stations, etc.

It was an amazing experience, starting from the check-in process — honestly, I haven’t experienced such service for years. I agree with some reviews that it’s simply a good hotel with a decent view, but the service and the attitude toward guests make this place truly exceptional. You can feel it in every small detail: from the clear explanations about the city and maps, to the help with luggage. The folder with menus from almost all the city’s restaurants was a wonderful surprise, and even better, we received recommendations on where we could go without a reservation. The size of the room was also amazing — finally, enough space! ☺️ If I had small children, I’m sure they could even play a little football there. Highly recommend 🫶

Impecable staff. Great breakfast. Nice room, very good vibes. Spent afternoon discovering the woods, creeks and waterfalls nearby, and tasting the medicinal water sources.

“Just what was needed”

The overall welcome was spot on. The patron was knowledgeable and welcoming sharing with us aspects of the house, locality and wider area. The room was just what was needed for us and was well provisioned. The breakfasts were the best with a huge choice of continental breakfast items. The host was attentive and provided the little extras such as towels for the Spa. It was a great place to stay for a few days.

The bed is very comfortable, the house decoration was so tasteful, the breakfast was very good and most of all the service was excellent there. Thierry was outstanding as a host, thank you ver much for everything!

We had a very relaxing stay here. The villa is decorated with taste, it's also walking distance from Spa and in a good spot for various day trips nearby. The owner has been a great host, making our stay a home away from home for a few days. Thank you!
