The hotel incorrectly charged me for a breakfast I did not have. I made it clear when I checked out and it was taken off the bill at check out. However, the hotel decided to bill my credit card after I left the hotel.

“We expected a much better stay in comparison to hotels in Europe which are more comfortable”
Room was comfortable but bed was too high to climb in even though I am not short with aheight of 5.6 feet. Food is very expensive comparative to food in town.

“Not a 5 star experience but nice”
Comfortable bed, welcome glass of sparkling wine on check in, bottle of red wine in the room was a nice touch. Staff provided a microwave, kettle and cot in our bedroom on request.

“It is a decent 3-star wine contry hotel.”
The hotel bares the name of "Hotel & Spa", however, the actual spa service is extra. The hotel does have an outdoor pool which guests could use for free. However, it was impractical in the cold raining winter. The actual spa with the indoor pools, however aren't free. Guests have to pay $49 for a day pass. We was surprised to find out we had to pay extra for the spa pool. In addition, there was a waiting list for the pools and bath house, so, the service was not guaranteed if you are willing to pay. We wish the website would have that information.

“Luxury lost its lux: stick to a day trip to the Fairmont's spa.”
Great aspects: the staff, service and spa. The Fairmont's spa facilities are the jewel in its crown. They are the best feature of the property. The gym is also new and has a great selection if equipment. In terms of service, it was good. The reception team members were friendly, responsive and accommodating to requests. The valet and bell man was kind and funny. The waitstaff at Sante were responsive, friendly and brought out the meals timely. Also, a note on Sante: it had a variety of breakfast options for people with different food needs.

“Wonderful and memorable stay at such a lovely resort!”
They upgraded us to a King room without us having to pay. It was my husbands bday and they left for us a nice bottle of sparkling wine with champagne glasses and chocolate covered strawberries plus two complimentary cocktails tickets for the bar! They went beyond and we will go back!

“A perfect first visit to Sonoma”
All the staff were really friendly and service was great. A particular highlight for us was our hike with Ed, which the hotel offers as a complimentary outing. Ed was super enthusiastic and it was a real highlight of our trip. The lobby is very comfortable, with board games for guests to enjoy over a glass of wine. We also enjoyed the live music and food truck, which is open on Fridays and Saturdays.

The cost paid by the hotel is more than the cost paid by Booking Dotcom. They say they will return everything, but they don't know when it will be deposited. It's not even a deposit concept, but it's a little strange that they're returning everything after paying. I don't think it's right to pay this much on purpose
