“A very unpleasant experience.”

It was full of dust, and although we brought our own bed linen and towels, it wasn’t enough. Be careful with the bunk beds — they say the maximum weight is 60 kg, which means that if you’re traveling as a family, heavier people shouldn’t climb up. One of the bunk beds was missing the protective foam mattress pad. We understand it’s autumn and that leaves fall, but they should also be collected, and the cobwebs cleaned. We only stayed one night, as we arrived at 8:12 p.m., but that was enough for us to decide not to continue our stay and leave earlier. A very unpleasant experience.

it was amazing, only the location is a bit far out if you dont have a car -there's buses but they dont go all the way, at least not on the weekends, but it was great and i like walking, so to me the location wasn't too bad, and the area absolutely beautiful. friendly staff as well

“Terrible stay! Dirty and no hot water!”

My family and I booked a family room with an own bathroom. It also included a small kitchen facility. We paid 93 EUR for only one night. Unfortunately, it was quite dirty. Dead flies were lying on the dining table, on my daughter’s bed and on window sills. There was NO hot water. So my family and I weren’t able to take a shower. Further, the tap of the kitchen facility was dripping through the whole night, even as we tried to close it properly, it didn’t stop! Therefore, the night was terrible as we couldn’t sleep. The check-in was from 16:00-18:00h, we were there at 17:00h but nobody was there. Instead, the was an envelope put on the door with the keys. There were no further instructions on how or where to find the room. During the whole time there was nobody whom we could have asked about the non-hot water and etc. The next day we wanted to talk to someone in person and to sort out the situation, but nobody was at the reception. The reception opening times were 08:00-10:00 am. We were there at 9:00am. We called the number of the sign. After a short while somebody came but due to language barriers he seemed to not understanding me quite well. Another person came but she was fairly unfriendly and couldn’t really belief there was no hot water working and when we told her that the room was quite dirty as well, she said “Nobody has ever complained about it yet!” Therefore, 93 EUR for one night where there is no hot water working, dead flies are lying on the dining table and the tap of the kitchen sink is dripping through out the whole night, is certainly NOT appropriate! We can only recommend not to stay there.

Nice hostel outside Sonderborg. Many activities possible inside/outside the hostel. Very friendly staff, rooms are quiet and nice. Kitchen for self cooking and washing machine/dryer. You got a lot for the price.

Bedroom is small and cozy, the interior is absolutely charming. There are outdoor facilities with different animals, activities for families like Minigolf, common areas, etc.
