“Danhostel ok”
Room was clean. Good accommodation in and around the buildings. Arrival and key receipt outside reception hours worked well without any problems.

“Comfortable, quiet and at a fair price hostel”
Hilde was just outstanding. She was always there with a smile. Very helpful and caring. The owner of this hostel could not ask.for a better manager. I even asked her if she was the owner. The place was clean, they clean every day. The area was calm and 10 minutes walk from the center. There was always warm coffee. The Inside garden was a very nice and useful feature also with two big barbecues. There was games room, tv room with plenty of sofas, kitchen had anything you may need. Obviously its a hostel and cannot ask for what you get in a traditional hotel, but it was clean, handy, comfortable, quiet and at a fair price.

We were able to get into the room before the official check-in, but only because we were lucky to run into some staff at the facility. It was good to have an ensuite bathroom.

“TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE”
DO NOT BOOK I booked this place as i had an important meeting the next day in Sonderborg. Safe to say i didnt get any sleep as the radiator in my room was making constant, loud beating noise throughout the whole night up until the morning. There was no staff to address this issue with nor during the night, or in the morning, as there was no one in the reception.(even though they claim that the place is staffed from 8AM) My shower floor was filthy and the shower head was sprinkling everywhere around the bathroom, leading to it flooding in the main room. Could not use their iron or hairdryer, again, because there was no one to borrow it from. No breakfast, even tho during booking it is mentioned the possibility of getting breakfast for an extra charge. Not only that, the breakfast area was closed. My booking was for a double or twin room, I ended staying in a 4 beds room. Have not been lucky enough to see any staff members during my stay. I emailed the property directly in order to ask for a refund and give them detailed feedback on my stay. Was not important enough to even get an apology email back and was left with no answer.

“Very passable stay”
The Hostel is in a quiet area of the town. 1.6 km from the center of Sønderborg. Courtyard was nice. Game room and kitchen were ok.
