“Recharging my soul”

What an incredible hidden gem. We loved the location and the beautiful views of the mountains and the mighty Bulkley river flowing beside our Lodge. Words can't describe the beauty of the location and the incredible Lodge we stayed in. The covered outdoor kitchen was complete with a smoker, BBQ, refrigerator, and a pizza oven. Having happy hour in this amazing setting was truly an amazing experience. The Lodge was beautiful with the thoughtful decor and indigenous theme carried throughout this stunning home. The sauna was a bonus. This rental went above and beyond what I expected. April and her husband were charming and helpful and make this world a better place. I loved the Lodge at LDR. We also had a chance to look at the Dutch Treat cabin, and again, I was totally impressed with the care and love that went into the cabin. If you need to recharge and relax, this is the place. Viewing wildlife from the comfort of the living room was an added joy. I will be back with fishing pole in hand and staying longer.

The cabin is spatious, well equipped and nicely decorated (amazing paintings). The view is breathtaking. It is very clean and comfortable.

I booked a cabin here as a last minute booking while road tripping and realizing that I was done driving for the day and needed somewhere to lay my head for the night. The distance from town was a little daunting, but I wanted something quiet and comfortable. I am so glad I went ahead and booked, because the scenic, dirt road drive here was absolutely stunning, with even a bear to pop out of the woods and greet me at the last km mark! The owner was ready and waiting to show me to my cabin upon arrival and I couldn't have been more pleased. She had built up a tidy fire in the woodstove and it was a warm welcome after a long day driving. I had my own private cabin on a beautiful piece of land with plenty of green, treed space around it. The cabin itself was clean, immaculate and lovely, with all sorts of artistic touches to make it feel like home. It had a full, well stocked kitchen for cooking, a super comfy bed, and a cute little dining nook. I honestly wish I'd had a few days to spend here to soak up the beautiful surroundings and the absolute quiet. Yes, it's a long way from town (bring groceries with you!) and yes it has an outbuilding/outhouse for a toilet, but it was worth the drive, and the outhouse was the cleanest, nicest one I've ever seen! I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet getaway in nature and I already have to a few friends!

“Always fantastic at LDR.”

Second time at LDR. Stayed in the Dutch Treat, smaller than the big lodge that we stayed in last time, but just as spectacular. Love this place! The property, lodges, owners, they're all fantastic! Very comfy beds and bedding, great shower. And they're building a beautiful sauna for the cabin.

We were warmly welcomed by Tammo. The cabins are beautifully crafted, better than the pictures. It was very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The beds are huge and comfortable. We would have liked to longer.
