Overview
This authentic Moroccan guest house is set in the Ouarzazate province and features a traditional Berber design. Guests are invited to relax on the terrace, in the garden or in the lounge area. Kasbah La Datte D’Or proposes simply decorated guest rooms with Berber carpets, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Some of the rooms include an en suite bathroom with a shower. Traditional cuisine and local specialities can be prepared upon request and breakfast is served daily. The guest house can help organise excursions and visits of the area. Free private parking is available on site and Ouarzazate Airport is 42 km away. The guest house is 400 metres from Skoura village centre and a 40-minute drive from Kalaat M’Gouna.

We felt welcomed and part of local life with Abdellatif and family. Abdellatif was very helpful to put us in touch with Ahmed who took us on a day trip to see the sights on the way to Dades Gorge and the adventurous walk through the gorge with Ahmed is a must! Hospitality at Datte Dor was fantastic, sunny terrace and coming in December we found the room heating a real treat!

The most precious thing in this Kasbah is the owners, if you want to have real Kasbah experience, this is the place! Very warm welcome, Kasbah full of warm and laughter. the food is the one of the best we tried in Morocco. We felt so welcome here, like a part of the family. Try galia tajine, it’s delicious 🥰 The room is clean and beds are comfortable. We stayed as a family and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!

Friendly and helpful owners with a calm demeanour. Room was large, colourful, clean and bright with good aircon. Dinner was excellent- one of the best tagines I've had. Not at all expensive. Overall the hotel really exceeded expectations.

“Warm and welcoming stay with a few small quirks”
We had a truly lovely time at this accommodation. The hosts were incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming –it really felt like staying with family. The atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly, and we appreciated the care and hospitality throughout our stay. The only minor challenges we had were communication, as English wasn’t spoken, which made some things a bit tricky –but with a bit of creativity and goodwill, we made it work! Also, the bed was quite squeaky, which disturbed our sleep a little. Overall, we would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, family-style experience in Morocco. Thank you for having us!
