“Epic location with Skógafoss waterfall a few steps away!”
The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was an OK spread. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The best part of this hotel is of course the gorgeous Skógafoss waterfall behind the accommodation. You can't beat the location, and the overall the hotel is super lovely. Highly recommend!

“Excellent location.”
Location is really outstanding, with view out onto Skogafoss waterfall, which is in easy walking distance. Everything worked fine, room was comfortable, breakfast was good.

Great location adjacent to waterfall, and a FABULOUS museum very close by. Clean & comfortable room. Would I stay again? Most likely if I had the chance!

“A great base for this area of the south coast of Iceland. Solorina heaven on the waterfall cliffs.”
The staff were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The restaurant on site provides an aopportunity to assuage hunger in the evening, and breakfasts were superb. We arranged for a vegan packed lunch, which went down well.

“Great location near Skógafoss, but expensive for what it offers.”
The location is excellent, very close to Skógafoss, which made it ideal for exploring the area. Free parking was arranged, which was useful. Breakfast was not extensive, but there were a few decent options and it was enough to start the day.

“A Waterfall at Your Doorstep”
You can’t beat the location of Hótel Skógafoss. Being right next to the waterfall is incredible, but the true highlight was witnessing the Northern Lights dance directly above the hotel. An unforgettable, atmospheric experience. While the hotel design is quite dated and purely practical, it serves as a functional base for such a spectacular setting. The breakfast is a standard Icelandic spread, simple but filling enough to fuel a day of exploring
