“Absolutely perfect holiday home”

This house is perfect for both a family holiday and a romantic getaway. We stayed here with our family and truly loved it. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need — even coffee, tea, some food supplies, and a barbecue on the terrace. The house is very cozy and thoughtfully designed. We stayed over New Year’s, and there was even a decorated Christmas tree, which was a lovely surprise from the host. The layout is very comfortable: three bedrooms, separate bathroom and toilet, and beautiful views from all the windows. The house is warm and dry, which is very important in this climate. The host was extremely kind — he even offered us fish when my husband couldn’t catch any due to the weather and lent sleds to our children after it snowed. There are saunas by the fjord just 5–10 minutes away by car, which we highly recommend. Overall, our stay was absolutely perfect, and we hope to come back again.

Our vacation at Nils Einar's was simply amazing—from the location to the house to the bed. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. Nils is a fantastic host who was always available with help and advice. The holiday home was a wooden dream. Plenty of space for a family of five with little rascals. The amenities left nothing to be desired. But the best part was the location—right on Lake Jølster, with a private boat and swimming area, yet not too isolated. You could reach Skei, with its shopping options, in a five-minute drive or a 20-minute walk. The weather—with 10 days of sunshine and nearly 30°C—was the proverbial icing on the cake. At times, we felt like we had accidentally driven south toward Italy instead of heading north to Norway.

This is a lovely 3 storey old cabin. All the facilities you need are here. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Great location, as long as you have a car and great views. Very comfortable.

Authentic wooden house. So cosy. Perfect to celebrate Christmas! We loved also the location and it's view. Thanks for the delicious fish!! All the equipment in the kitchen is fantastic. Everything you need is there (and even more ;-)) We had a fantastic stay. Looking forward to come again!

An amazing place with a very cozy house! We liked it so much that we extended our stay (+5 days on New Year). Convenient location near the water with beautiful views, a sauna on the fjord is a 4-minute drive away, ski resorts are 1-1.5 hours away, a glacier is about 1.5 hours away and much more. The house is very warm with a fireplace, near which we spent family evenings watching movies. Over 10 days, we experienced different weather from +9 to -12, from rain to a snowstorm, the house was always cozy! Special thanks for the real New Year's mood for our children!!! The owner presented us a real Christmas tree with decorations. A huge surprise for us was to see the northern lights 2 days (31.12 and 1.01), which we didn't even dream of. We would be happy to come here many, many more times!!! We highly recommend it!

“Exceptional family holiday in a stunning location.”

Beautiful location right on the fjord. Had a well equipped kitchen for cooking. Perfect for a family of 4 with plenty of space. Our host Nils was exceptional and took us fishing and kayaking . SUP board for our son was a big hit and I enjoyed cold water swimming every day.A private guide was arranged to take us up the glacier - highly recommend. Fabulous experiences we won’t forget!

The location was lovely and convenient. The hytte was quite large and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and worked well. We paid extra for linen and towels and cleaned the place ourselves to avoid being charged for that.

Great location near the lake and notfar from the glacier view point , nice, big and well equipped house, everything is clean, and well maintained. The host was very friendly he helped us with a lot of information about the area. He gave us some equipment for fishing, and also gave us some fish from his fishing, which we made it frosted for our dinner.

The location is very special! There is a nice playground for kids right at the lake. Good views for the parents. The owner is friendly! Perfect hiking routes in the near surrounding for with two small kids in carriers. The house gives a nice view.

The location is great and the house very cosy and comfortable with fully equipped kitchen. A fireplace in the evenings was a bonus. Nils was very kind and gave us great hiking tips for the surrounding area.
