“Tranquil guesthouse for a stay in Skagen”
Toftegården Guesthouse is tranquil and welcoming. Check in was a breeze, once we realized the entry code key pad was on the door handle. We had the basic room with a shared bathroom - one room with toilet and sink and another larger room with shower, sink, mirror, and hairdryer. We never had to wait for the facilities. There was a small fridge in the room and also a shared kitchen. Linens were wonderful. We ate our take-out dinner in the hydrangea-filled garden. The owner Hendrik came out and chatted with us. He and his father bought an old farm some 20 years ago and created Toftegården. They were clearly interested in our well-being and satisfaction. Best of all were the bicycles, half the price we paid in Copenhagen and much better quality. We recommend the sanded-in church and a walk to the point where the two seas meet.

The sauna and jacuzzi were excellent, the room was clean and tidy, the owner was very pleasant and accommodating. When renting the bikes, they checked them and prepared them for safe riding. The beds were very comfortable. Free coffee and tea for guests. Excellent!!!

“Comfortable B&B in close distance to the heart of Skagen”
It was a nice place to stay in a good location close to the main streets and to the station. They had secure and covered bike storage which was also a plus. The whole place is basically automated and I never saw any staff, you just check in and out yourself (which is fine and worked without any issues, it’s maybe just a bit impersonal). I thought it was a bit odd you have to unwrap a package of bedsheets and make your own bed…but maybe that’s normal in the price range? My room was right next to a shared kitchen and bathroom which seemed to be constantly busy late at night and early in the morning, the noise from which detracted quite a bit from the experience. Another weird thing was I couldn’t manage to turn the heating off – the radiator was digital and even after lowering it to the minimum it was still way too warm. Opening the window all night helped but it was still an issue.

“Wouldn’t recommend! Bad sleep and facilities and no service stuff around”
The furniture were pretty but the beds and pillows were but so no good sleep! Also the house was old and you could hear all activity from other tenants and had only one toilet for 6 rooms which got clogged, but they fixed it quickly. No service stuff and no food options on the “self service mini market” and the provided towels smelled very bad. The shower had barely any hot water too and the heater was broken in the shower room. Also the location is 950m from station and even further from the Main Street.
