Very clean and with everything we needed. The location on a hill means there are beautiful view out across the water. It’s close to walking trails. Staff were super friendly.

“Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient”
We had a very pleasant stay at Salthús Guesthouse. The room was clean and well-prepared, and check-in and check-out were completely hassle-free. There’s a shared kitchen available, which was well-equipped and allowed us to cook our own meals—very convenient. There were also plenty of parking spaces available right outside the building, which made arrival and departure easy. Everything we needed was there, and the guesthouse felt calm and well-maintained. A great place to stay if you’re traveling through the area.

I experienced a problem with the free guest WiFi and reported it to the property owner via email asking where to find the router, who replied immediately and I was then able to reboot the router - problem solved! My room was spotlessly clean as was the kitchen. The amenities were superb and fully functional.

“A little hidden gem. The Salthús is one of my favourite hotels in Northern Iceland.”
What a beautiful room with views of the harbour. We got a family room so it had a sofa and a comfortable bed. Private bathroom. Communal kitchen was also very handy.
