Overview
Set on the banks of Durance River, this hotel is located in the heart of Provence. Guests can enjoy the view of Sisteron Citadel from the furnished terrace with a drink from the on-site bar. All the rooms at Hôtel de la Citadelle have a flat-screen TV and offer a view of the river or of the Citadel. A friend dropped us at the hotel . On leaving we were told there were no taxis in the town so we had to walk for 20 minutes to the train station in the pouring rain. The hotel is not a 5 minute walk from the hotel as said by the hotel staff.

“Very pleasant visit to the charming town of Sisteron. The hotel location makes it a winner.”
Supper position to see the astonishing mountain as the light moves over it, and to visit the Citadelle, which is simply remarkable. The bathroom was basic but clean. Dinner served on the terrace was pleasant, and breakfast was fine.
