“Sissi is a lovely village with plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops with pastries.”

Second visit. Sissi just as good as last weekend but the two bars we visited last weekend both had live music but not this weekend.

Great Location and a late check in arranged with ease. Great communication via message by the owners. Nice spacious apartment very comfortable bed nice view from the balcony. A fridge washing machine cooking facilities hair dryer iron plenty of towels and bed linen. I had a very comfortable stay the apartment was very clean apartment. I would stay here again.

Eva and Kostas were very helpful with advising me about buses I needed for my plans and recommending traditional restaurants and places to visit. The apartment was spacious and bright with a lovely view of the mountains.

Host was great. Very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was basic but had everything we needed. We would stay again which is the main thing. Location was fabulous - just a minute or so from the town's action. Sisi is a great little town with lots of places to eat, drink and listen to music. The locals are very friendly. Would definitely visit again.

We had a really fantastic stay at Cuckoo's Nest. The owners Kostas and Eva were so friendly and nice! They cleaned the entire apartment every 3 days, giving us clean towels and sheets. They gave us lots of excellent advice about restaurants, activities, and events happening around Crete. They provided help with taxis, bus schedules, anything we needed! They really went above and beyond. The room has everything you need - kitchen with fridge, cooking facilities, pans, pots, plates, cutlery, etc. Bathroom has a washing machine so we could do our own laundry. They provided also Greek olive oil and some Cretan wine / spirits. We had an awesome time and will definitely stay with them again if we return to Crete! Thanks for everything!

Spacious. Great host. Nice balcony. All amenities there. Good bed. Great view. Quiet but short walk from supermarket and shops. Good price. Washing machine. You can tell from the little details in the apartment that the owner cares about the customer. Would definitely come again.

“Fantastic Apartment In A Wonderful Location”

Cuckoo’s Nest is in a fabulous location in the heart of Sissi. It’s also right by the mountains so great for hiking and only 30 mins drive from Heraklion Airport. The apartment was super spacious and well equipped - new furniture, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine (supplied with detergent). Everything was very clean and I really felt at home. I slept on the new sofa bed on a couple of nights - it’s huge! and also really comfy. There’s even an iron for clothes. Complimentary local honey, olive oil and Raki were a lovely touch. The owners were super helpful , suggesting where to go when asked. I stayed for 7 nights and it was cleaned mid way through. The views from the property of the mountains are stunning and it is very peaceful. The children’s play area was sweet - my sister was staying nearby and her children had fun using it. There’s no pool, but don’t let that put you off. There’s a small beach within 3 mins walk and harbour which you can sunbathe and swim in. I also used the pool at Maritimo Beach Hotel 8 mins walk away!!!!!! I’d definitely return to Cuckoo’s Nest and highly recommend it. Sissi is a lovely small town/large village with a great selection of local shops - selling local products, fab restaurants and a few tavernas. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. 😃
