Do not know what to say. It was truly one of the worst experiences, so even though I had booked four nights, I left after the first one. Just couldn't stay more.

Beautiful location, easy to travel to other locations, staff were so helpful, lovely pancakes for breakfast, right on a lovely beach. Chicken roaming around. Quiet vibe with own restaurant and bar. Fantastic only room was adequate. Just a wonderful 4 night stay.

The room is spacious for a solo traveler with enough bathroom essentials. The lighting is good, especially in the morning.

The room was really big with a nice balcony infront. The location of the property is also great - just right at the end of the main street and infront of the sea

“Not worth the stay”

The staff was kind, but the owner is so careless about the well being of her clients. No info given, doesn't really care if you need something in the room or to move arround. (5 nights there and not once she asked if everything was okay if we needed something) one time we needed change after sunset and went to ask her for help and all we got is: it's already late. We learnt that a lot of locals nearby could exchange money but she didn't bother to tell us. Didn't even suggest to advance us till the morning, it's all about money for her. Moreover, the electricity is down at least once a day, wifi also. Data is not well there so if you need good connexion you should go elsewhere. The location is not really good as everything is so far unless you have a scooter. For people who like to party and drive after it's not the perfect spot as all the good bars and restaurants are at least 5min by scooter.. you will need to return by tuktuk. Speaking of scooter, the owner litteraly said that she charges more than outside her hostel, If we are not happy with the price we can always walk several minutes to find a motorbike rental. Concerning the rooms, only good point is that no insect was inside during the 5 nights we stayed there (except for mosquitos). But they are really really old and not maintained at all, the lock is not working, anyone with a similar key may open your room. The plumbing in the bathroom is broken... the beach view is nice but beware you can't swim there, rocks everywhere and very low tide. Nearest beach is 15min by scooter. Breakfast starts at 8am minimum so if you plan an early tour or else you find nobody. I can go on forever.. for a similar price you can find much better options. Siquijor is a beautiful island and all the locals are all really lovely, it's a shame that the hostel doesn't make more efforts to improve their service.
