“Cheap, but dirty”

Good location, cheap dorms, cheap bike rentals. I was the only one in the dorm for two nights, maybe because of the previous reviews.

Location and price, AU$20-ish per night for 2 adults with own bathroom, easy walk to San Juan central Free wifi was good Motorbike hire was easy and competitively priced

Had a great stay here! The accommodation was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and everything was well taken care of. The staff/host was super friendly and helpful, always making sure everything was okay. The location was also perfect, with easy access to everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice and stress-free place to stay! 👍 You get what you pay. Price is the best. They do also have a pool which is clean, bar and pool table.

There was no Wi-Fi in the hostel (even though it’s listed as available on Booking), and it wasn’t due to a power cut — there is simply never any signal in the hostel. I stayed two nights and both times I booked a female dorm. On both nights there were men in the room. On the second night, a couple (including a man) came back drunk — he started shouting and she was vomiting. This isn’t directly the hostel’s fault, but if they had respected the female-only dorm policy, the situation would probably have been better. On my last morning, I woke up and there was no water in the bathroom. The staff member (I must say, the only one who wasn’t very friendly) came in at 10 am to clean while I was still in the room, even though check-out is at 12.

Location is fab, close to many restaurants, beach, in the hub. Good price and allowed us the space for what we needed. Gave us soap. Staff chill and flexible. Big inside parking area for motorbikes.

The place itself is past its peak. Czar’s seems it has been a fantastic venue 5-10 years ago. A bit like a fairy tale location with a fish pond, a small bridge, rooms below pool level - even with an (unused) aquarium as a window, beds on rocks, etc. Atm they invest minimal funds on improving electricity plugs, showers, toilets, fan and lighting not to forget painting everything. There is a main building with a nice shared balcony and an apartment building with 4 rooms closer to the street. Czar’s is opposite a convenience store and a few minutes away from Napoli Restaurant and Belle’s Beach Bar. The main road separates the hotel from the plots next to the beach. TukTuk from pier to here is 300PHP and takes 18 minutes. Report on room 14: - new shower head with ok pressure. - Fairly new toilet with buttgun and bucket. - 2 mirrors, new fan and bright lights. - fairly good rate. - friendly receptionist and staff. - 7 electricity plugs for both local and EU plugs. - little veranda in front of the room. - no mosquitos. - 3,5 beds on rocks and ok space. - Window can be opened. - pool seems clean but bleak water.

Bed and pillows are not comfortable. The toilet is not that clean.

The staff were sooo sweet very helpful. Fair prices for beers and such, enough space in the room, the bed was soft enough Cute little pool and a small rooftop even Great value for money! I was a little worried after reading the reviews Maybe my standards are low haha but I liked it here

It was a risk-) I've read the previous reviews. but i think to myself -it from October and now February almost ... I'll try it ....and it was great. A whole big hotel just for me. Nice service and swimming pool :-) thay improve
