Nestled amid the surrounding vineyards, only 4 km away from Sion, the Hôtel des Vignes benefits from the exceptionally dry and sunny climate of the central Valais. The hotel is set in a splendid park with vineyards to the north, the Hérens valley to the south and the village of St-Léonard to the east. Specialities made from a rich variety of local products are offered in the restaurant as well as a diverse selection of wines. The fine weather often permits dining on the terrace. Wireless internet is available in all areas of the Hôtel des Vignes free of charge. 2 tennis courts and an indoor golf training course are at your disposal as well. Various golf courses can be found in the area as well. The Hôtel des Vignes also offers facilities appropriate for meetings and seminars. You can park your car for free on site.

I loved the immaculately maintained old style Swiss hotel keeping. Delightful staff. The Kew over the vineyard was delightful.

The staff was very welcoming. The hotel clean and well maintained. The room was bigger than expected. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices and available most of the morning.

The hotel has a very nice interior and it was fully decorated for Halloween when we stayed there. Comfortable rooms and plenty of parking space.

We stayed here the second time, and really like the hotel. Good location, with easy access to hiking trails in the surrounding valleys. Comfortable room with free soft drinks. Most of the staff speaks English. Air conditioner in the room helped us to survive the tropical nights of the heat wave. Restaurant is not exciting, but OK. It stops at 21.00, but there is a possibility to get cold snacks and drinks until 23.00, which helped as a lot.

“A comfortable value for money hotel at the heart of wine region in Valais”
Room was very comfortable with good quality facilities. Bathroom was clean and had choice between bath and Douche - so we could book one room with douche and one room with bath. Dinner was superb and post dinner Grappa was fabulous. Local wine was delicious at affordable prices. The service at the restaurant for dinner was outstanding. Also all the staff were very kind and overall the service was excellent

“A delightfull hotel and restaurant.”
We felt very welcome from check-in and right through our stay. The room was spacious and well-equipped, although the WC was small. We dined at the hotel's restaurant and were delighted with our choices. I especially liked the grilled fruit with my veal curry dish, and the fromage plate was pleasantly full with local and other selections. I would recommend discovering, as we did, some of the neighbouring wines.
