Overview
Overlooking a beautiful swimming beach, this luxurious guesthouse lies on the outskirts of Simon’s Town and offers 10 individually decorated rooms with free parking and magnificent sea views. Whale View Manor Guesthouse enjoys a privileged location on the False Bay coast, between Cape Town and Cape Point. A complimentary full breakfast is served in Whale View Manor's cosy breakfast room. The attentive staff is happy to provide local knowledge and help with travel arrangements. The rooms are beautifully decorated to echo South Africa’s own rich heritage. Each one is appointed with extra-large beds and satellite TV. Some of the rooms offer beautiful sea views, whilst others command majestic mountain vistas and direct garden access.

“Totally Fair for the Value, Excellent Location and Staff”
The breakfast was decent, though it is important to note that this is more of a small B&B-style residence than a full hotel, so there is no buffet. Personally, there was very little that appealed to me for breakfast — the hot chocolate was honestly quite bad, and the café latte was only barely acceptable. That said, my father very much enjoyed his omelette and salmon. The location, however, is exceptional: only a 3-minute walk from Boulder's Beach, with a direct view of the ocean. I especially loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach at night. Above all, what impressed me most was the staff. Every person we interacted with was professional, genuinely friendly, and always available to help.

“Great value for money with a fantastic view”
We had a sea view room and it was fabulous. A very nicely designed room with a super comfortable bed and plenty of space. And the beach opposite the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast was great too and the host (and the dog) were very really friendly.

We had the most wonderful stay at Whale View Manor! Our room was perfection and it overlooked a perfect small swimming beach. The staff and owners were incredibly helpful and kind. A delicious breakfast was served in the downstairs dining room, or you could chose to eat under and umbrella overlooking the glorious Indian Ocean.

Very nice location directly at the ocean, beautiful old building, classy interior, nice and cozy little room with balcony and seaview, TV with several English movie channels (no Smart-TV, though), comfortable bed (although a little too short, as most beds in South Africa), good breakfast!

The sea view rooms are incredible, I really enjoyed opening up the windows, hearing the waves on the beach at night. Breakfast was generous. I loved the quick hop over to the beach. This is a good spot if you are planning to explore the peninsula.
