“Relaxing place to stay”

Great value for the price, it’s a cute little Homestay/restaurant within easy walking distance of everything in M’Pai bay. The dorm room layout is a bit odd and there is no aircon, but that’s the norm for the island. Definitely recommend the bioluminescent plankton tour run by the owner.

Very good value for money, everyone was super kind and the food there was also really good! Only criticism is that I wish they had mosquito nets... Other than that the room was very comfortable.

We shared the double room (shared bathroom) & it felt like sleeping in a tree house. Everything very natural & you fall asleep with jungle sounds. Great location in the middle of the village. Please bare in mind that there might be bugs & also sand on the floor. The shower is cold water only. However it’s island style and we loved it! The owner was so kind and the food in the restaurant delicious.

“Good experience with amazing plankton tour”

We loved this place for the fluorescent plankton tour and the restaurant. The owner is a passionate person about marine biodiversity and showed us so many beautiful specimens. The food is delicious, especially the eggplants. Such a good vibe here.

“Only if you really have to”

I was finally able to progress in CandyCrush since this place has NO WI-FI ! 👍 I got sick but luckily in the toilet there was a fist sized FROG so I quickly forgot about my sickness 🥰 (it actually worked lol) Free unlimited SAUNA (aka the dorm) 24/7 which was really needed after long day of sunbathing 🙃 SANDY beach right on your doorstep (yes, literally), even in your bed sometimes 👍 On a serious note: - the mattress was comfy - the staff was nice - water refills for 0.25$ - common area quite chill with music, but wish they invested into a proper AC or proper fan instead of fancy music equipment

It’s basic but perfectly fine for the price you’re paying. Amazing location just a one minute walk from the pier. The owner is a lovely guy who’s happy to help you with any questions. He goes above and beyond to help you arrange onwards travel. We extended twice.

“Best hostel on the island in my professional opinion”

Cute hostel with restaurant and dive center attached and perfectly situated in the centre of town. Everything is under 5 minutes walk. Owner and family are the friendliest in Cambodia. I just kept extending, highly recommend!

The place was pretty chill. The owner was very lovely and helpful regarding questions about the island and general transportation without giving you the feeling, he wants to sell you something. He was just overall a very nice guy.

Pong and Pich are wonderful hosts. We loved the "tree house". The food is fantastic and the dining area is magical at night. Great music too. Thank you all for a most memorable experience and for your kindness. Give the princess a big hug from all of us.

Cosy dorm, super nice hosts and really good food - all in all for a fair price. Most travellers are craving for the green curry, whereas I loved the Lok Lak 😉

Spicy23 - Great atmosphere, delicious food in the restaurant, cozy shady courtyard, swing, interesting people from different countries gather around. The owners are very nice and pleasant, educated, speak excellent English with their princess daughter! The owner is a certified diving instructor and arranges interesting underwater excursions. Wonderful and friendly staff!!! all the girls are very caring and sweet! Especially the waitress Zoe from Canada - an amazing young girl!) Unusual living conditions - island! - for undemanding tourists. But at the same time there is almost everything for minimal comfort. There are clean bed linen and towels. (Towels were not provided in the shared room, only in individual ones, which, however, are not entirely individual, which is not clear from the description. The rooms are separated by thick curtains). There is no soundproofing, but there is a complete feeling and audibility of nature!!! And this compensates for everything) I was very pleased to have a shower and toilet on the second floor, belonging to only two rooms! There was no need to go down the very steep stairs again! For people with physical problems, such a staircase will be an insurmountable obstacle; in this case, it is better to choose a room on the 1st floor. Wi-Fi is not available. Only in neighboring cafes. There is a beach to walk 100m, and there is further, to the right of the pier, 15 minutes walk along the shore in the shade!!! very beautiful long beach with white sand (take repellent, I was bitten by insects there). There is also a stone gathering on the left where you can snorkel on your own. I also recommend going to the equipped observation deck at sunset, uphill nearby, up to 1 km. A beautiful island, a wonderful friendly small village, wonderful, kind and smiling residents. Felt safe! Be sure to check the weather forecast (no storms) so you can get to this bay. Yes, we got a wonderful and unusual New Year's holiday!

Located in M'Pai Bay, a sweet village on Koh Rong Sanloem, this is probably the best value accomodation in Cambodia. Run by a sweet Thai-Cambodian family with an adorable daughter this small homestay offers two small fan rooms on the second floor of their restaurant. The rooms are clean, you have mosquito nets and comfortable double beds. The owner Jeerapong is a genuinely kind and interesting person always good for a quick (or longer) chat :) He is very knowledgable about the islands and animals and made our stay here unforgettable. From swimming in a tiny waterfall in the jungle, to telling us the best time and place to see the glowing plancton (its mindblowing from underwater with a snorkel) and transport to and hikes in other parts of the island. He is also an experienced diver and underwater photograph, whos working to protect the local reefs and fish. On our dive with him we saw loads of strange but fascinating animals and macro live. All in all if you want to have an authentic experience, lovely hosts and great value this is the place to stay in Koh Rong! Thank you!

Location is good, food is really tasty, matrasses are good and there is a mosquito net for wvery bed.

“Best budget option”

Place is just like the pictures! Very cosy and great atmosphere. Do not expect any luxury and you’ll have a wonderful stay here. Dorn room is pretty spacious with good beds and mosquito nets, some fans. Garden is green and restaurant serves great Khmer food!
