We appreciated the warm welcome, including fresh eggs and home-grown vegetables. The garden was great for our children to run around, and the games and puzzles were a nice touch. Having a washing machine was also very convenient.

This house offered just the right amount of space for me and my two primary school-aged sons—each of us enjoyed our own room, complete with a king-size bed (yes, even the boys lived large). The living area downstairs was bright and generously sized, perfect for a bit of wrestling or quiet reading—depending on the hour. The host? Absolutely excellent. We were welcomed with fresh farm eggs and a presence so discreet that they could give even the most modest Estonian a run for their money. Almost invisible, yet everything worked like clockwork—a rare and admirable talent. In short: a brilliant shell nestled in the beauty of the Latvian countryside. Highly recommended.

Very friendly host. There was a sweet letter and a box of eggs from their chicken to welcome us. House was small but compact and there was everything we needed. Adorable and friendly cat Ringo, kids loved him. Sauna was really nice, with mild heat- my man is a sauna fanatic and he absolutely loved it. Swimming in pond after sauna- perfect! Host was answering really quickly and we felt like home. Only good vibes!

This was a warm and cosy house with beautiful natural scenery surrounded. The host was really friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect especially the traditional Latvian sauna. We enjoyed our stay so much.

“It could be a gem of Sigulda, but a few improvements are needed”

I was really looking forward to this place, a cottage-like experience in Sigulda. The place has a great location, basically "in the middle of nowhere", but at the same time a very short drive (10 minutes) from Sigulda's main sights and services. As a family of three, we had to share our bed with our young daughter, but the other two children had their own beds - all upstairs. The cottage is a nice looking little house with what you might call a small children's room with lots of puzzles and other games (suitable for 4-9 y.o.) - which was definitely a big plus. There is also a trampoline outside, which was also a big plus. The house is small but very manageable for a short stay and a family of five. You can also park right next to the house, there is a Novuss game (well known in the Baltic States), a small terrace in front of the house with some furniture and a small barbecue behind the house. There is also a washing machine (which was good) in the house and even a tumble dryer (which we did not use). All in all, this is the place to stay if you want to be close to nature (but not far from services) in a small cottage-like house with all the privacy the place can offer. There is also air conditioning in the house (on the first floor), but more on that in the cons section. We also appreciated the contactless check-in, the welcome note in the house, the visiting cat, the quick induction plate and a bit of the welcome sign (although I don't think it's really necessary). The best part of the whole experience was the children's room with all the toys in it, but with some additional improvements, renovations and perhaps a different approach to the interior design, this could be a real gem.

Magical place, beautiful cozy house in nature with sauna and all you need, very close to Sigulda. I can recommend it to families and people looking for peace, we had a great stay!
