“Lovely resort with great views of Lion Rock.”

The property has fantastic views of Lion Rock and a beautiful swimming pool. Our room was very large and comfortable. We were the only guests which was odd but it was off season. Breakfast was excellent.

Spent 2 nights at Sigiriya King's Resort with the family. Location was exceptional, with undoubtedly the best views of both Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock in the area. Food at the restaurant was good as well. Service was warm, friendly and the staff were all incredibly helpful during our stay. Special mentions to Isuru, Smith and Lalith for their wonderful hospitality!

“Honeymoon trip”

Our stay at Sigiriya King's Resort was a real highlight of our honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond to make it special, always attentive and genuinely warm. The views are incredible, with both Sigiriya and Pidurangala visible, and the setting feels peaceful and unique. The food was consistently delicious, and we even had a beautiful private dinner overlooking the rocks which was unforgettable. Birdwatching right from the back of the property was phenomenal as well. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Honestly we had the most incredible stay at Sigirya Kings Resort. The location is phenomenal, view of both rocks in front of you. Situated on the most beautiful lake with so much bird activity. The food at the hotel restaurant and the Sri Lankan breakfast was phenomenal, absolutely delicious!! Very comfortable bed and rooms were spacious. All of the staff were so helpful and accommodating and the service was amazing. Honestly couldn’t fault the stay, we had the best time!

From the moment we arrived at Sigiriya Kings Resort, we felt like genuine guests rather than just another booking. The welcome was warm and personal, and that tone never wavered throughout our two-night stay. Our room was clean, spacious and wonderfully fresh, with views over the dramatic escarpment of Lion Rock and the lesser-known Pidurangala Rock nearby. Waking up to that landscape each morning was something we will not forget. The food was exceptional, generous, full of flavour, and a real highlight of the stay. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is an absolute must. Do not skip it. We happened to be there over Sinhala and Tamil New Year, and what made this stay truly memorable was how the staff included us in their celebrations. It felt genuine and generous, an invitation to share in something meaningful. Above all, it is the staff who set this property apart. Every single person we encountered carried a quiet pride for their country, their culture, and their hotel, and it showed in everything they did. The setting itself is peaceful and beautiful, alive with birdlife and surrounded by natural bush. The resident guinea fowl added a lovely, unexpected charm. If you are looking for a property that combines stunning location, outstanding hospitality, and food that genuinely delivers, Sigiriya Kings Resort deserves to be at the top of your list. Highly recommended.

“Outstanding location in the middle of the wild”

We had a truly delightful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making both of us feel right at home. The location is stunning—set right on the banks of a lake, surrounded by abundant wildlife and beautiful birdlife, which created a peaceful and unique atmosphere. The hotel is also conveniently close to the main attraction, Lion Mountain, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, with a great selection of both local and European dishes. Breakfast was especially lovely, with fresh juice included each morning. Overall, the service was outstanding, and every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Really friendly staff with excellent English skills and the views of Sigiriya and Pidarangula rock are amazing. The restaurant food was also some of the best quality we had in Sri Lanka.

Located outside the buzzing of the town, peaceful day and night, beautiful view of both the mountains during the day, amazing view of the night sky after the sun sets. Clean and spacious swimming pool. Staff over the top, always ready to help you. If you love the peace and quietness of the nature, don’t doubt, book it!

“Amazing place”

The location, the food, the staff, the dogs (the rottweilers and the strays). Isiru (sorry if that isn't spelt correctly) was on his first week working there and was superb. We stayed in the treehouse for 2 nights and the whole time we had a lovely stray and a puppy join us on the landing curled up outside the door. We love dogs, so it was magical for us that they were almost guarding our door. We will be back as soon as we can.

“Lovely setting, convenient location, charming staff, delicious food!”

Our waiter Champika was fabulous! He was our favourite during our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Kalika was charming. Loved the vegetarian curries for dinner and breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Setting with the view of both “rocks” was peaceful and fantastic. Our room was well positioned for views from the back.
