Wonderful caring people made our stay so great, helped arrange our collection from the train station, arranged late dinner, transport to sites and information about local viewpoints and safety with elephants in the region. Amazing breakfast and even helped us get some medicine we needed!

Super nice and helpful hosts. Beautiful nature and wildlife around. The breakfasts were really good. The hosts helped us find a taxi at a good price to go to the airport at the end of our stay. They provided help for other services (recommendations for nice viewpoints, safaris, massages, etc.) in the beginning and they are not pushy at all about it. We would most certainly come back here if we were to visit Sri Lanka again and we would spend more than 2 nights as there is more to do around Sigiriya than we had expected.

If we could, we would give this place 12/10! Our stay in Sigiriya was absolutely amazing, and a huge part of that was thanks to Kasun and his brother. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had the best possible experience. They helped us with everything – arranging taxis, organizing fantastic trips, and always being available whenever we needed anything. We also had the chance to taste delicious local food, and the breakfasts were simply outstanding every single day. Everything was smooth, welcoming, and genuinely heartfelt. We felt taken care of from the very beginning. Thank you so much, Kasun and your brother – we truly appreciate everything you did for us. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sigiriya!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host took amazing care of us, organized fantastic tours, and was incredibly helpful at all times. We truly felt welcomed and well looked after throughout our entire stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious – fresh, tasty, and prepared with great attention to detail. It was the perfect way to start each day. The accommodation itself was clean and very cozy, making us feel right at home. The pool was perfect for relaxing during the day and enjoying some peaceful downtime. The location was ideal – very central and beautifully situated by a lake. We were able to rent bicycles directly at the accommodation and explore the surrounding area, which made our stay even more special. We recommend this place 100% and would love to come back anytime!

Everything you need: a/c; comfy beds with mosquito nets, hot water, great price; can arrange good price safari to Hurulu eco park, it was very very good safari! Managers brother cooked best local breakfast. The best we had during 10days in Sri Lanka! It is so peaceful in there, morning sounds of jungle. Saw couple wild animals in yard in the morning. The pool! And such good hearts of the manager. Thank you for your help, for a clean comfy stay. 🙏🙏🙏

Great place right with amazing views next to the lake, very spacious rooms and very friendly service. Our daughter Nora loved playing with her new best friend. Very nice quiet accommodation on a very quiet road surrounded by rice fields.

Kasun and his brother were super friendly and helpful. They suggested some activities and help us with organisation. Nature around the resort is very nice.

Highly recommend staying here. This homestay was one of the nicest we found in Sri Lanka, Kasun and his family were so welcoming and gave us the best advice for our travels around Sri Lanka. He also helped us organise transport around Sri Lanka. The room was big and clean, the pool was great. We loved sigiriya, had a great time exploring the area on bikes. Thank you Kasun and family!

Close to Lion Rock and surround by lovely nature, rice paddies and a lake this amazing homestay is a dream and it comes with a clean pool that was a welcome refreshment after a long day of touring around. We stayed for two nights and rented two rooms. The rooms were very, very clean and the air conditioning worked great. Breakfast was great as well. What really left a memorable impression and moved us beyond words is the owner Khasun and his family who took such a good care of us we felt more like visiting friends than tourists. Because we were tired on our first night Khasun arranged for our dinner delivery, gave us water when we run out of water and arranged our ride to the Lion Rock early in the morning. Khasun also arranged a massage for us and drove us there in his car. TIP: There is a view point by the lake just 100 meters from the homestay that offers a great view of Lion Rock.

The breakfast was amazing with plenty of options, generous quantities and delicious, both salty and sweat. It was made in traditional way, better than in restaurants. Garden was beautiful and we enjoyed cleaned swimming pool. The hosts were very kind and helpful.

Kasun the owner is an absolute legend. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble. He’ll go get you food, toothpaste, cigarette, beer. The pool is amazing. Breakfast is on point. Next to lake. Super quiet. Wish I stayed longer. Couldn’t recommend enough.

We loved the location of Bungalow Resort Sigiriya. It was down a side road away from the main Sigiriya high road and had jungle, paddy fields and a beautiful lake with lots of wildlife right on the doorstep. The rooms were very comfortable and have a balcony that overlooks the swimming pool and gardens. We enjoyed hanging out there in the evenings and having leisurely dinners and swims. The hosts were very welcoming, kind and helpful and arranged dinner to delivered to us to eat on the balcony. They also arranged a safari, taxis, cooking. They could not have done more for us. Breakfasts were also delicious and a packed breakfast was prepared for us on the day we went on an early safari. We really enjoyed our stay at Bungalow Resort.

Location is amazing - surrounded by green everywhere you look. Lake a minute away to walk around. It was so lovely to wake up early in the mornings, sit outside and just hear birds and nature. Pool was so lovely to cool down in after the sun and usually quiet enough to get a sun bed. Staff very friendly and helpful and always asking if they can do more/ if you need anything. Breakfast is plentiful and suitable for vegetarians also. Beds and pillows comfortable. Rooms spacious. The lane to the main road is 15 mins walk or so but we loved it, we saw so many pretty flowers, rice fields, butterflies, lizards, peacocks - the list goes on but the lane itself was a highlight. Ping pong table/ games/ books. Also a little carpeted area which was perfect for getting up early and doing yoga. Great value for money - highly recommend staying if you love peace and nature.

“Probably the best place we stayed so far in Sri Lanka so far”

We had a wonderful stay at Bungalow Resort Sigiriya. This place is a perfect family-friendly retreat: the kids loved the sparkling, immaculately maintained pool (shallow area for little ones made swim time worry-free), and the whole property felt safe and relaxed. The pool area is clean, well-kept, and ideal for splashing around after a day of sightseeing. Location is a huge plus — the resort sits right by the main tourist attractions, so you can be at Sigiriya Rock (and nearby sites) quickly without a long commute. Despite that convenience, the resort opens onto breathtaking views of lush rice fields. Waking up to that wide, green panorama and the gentle sounds of nature was unforgettable. Birdsong, butterflies, and other local wildlife (monkeys, hornbills, storks, even elephants) are commonly spotted around the grounds, so nature lovers will be delighted. We were incredibly grateful to have Kasun running the Bungalow Resort Sigiriya during our stay. He is genuinely kind-hearted and always ready to help with a warm smile. From the moment we arrived he made us feel welcome and comfortable, attending to every little detail without ever expecting anything in return (special breakfast, tuk-tuk rides, shopping when needed, you name it). About the rooms: they are simple but clean. Really nothing to be picky about.
