The treehouse in the jungle was an amazing experience. The staff were all very kind and friendly. It was very peaceful. With only a few guests it felt like a special hideaway.

Stunning location. A real adventure. Beautifully designed tree house. Great staff. Best Sri Lankan food so far. Nihal is an extremely talented chef. Wake up to the unfiltered orchestra of the jungle. Pure joy.

Loved staying in a treehouse, it was such an adventure . Waking up to the sound of the rain and the forest was just wonderful. Friendly staff and lovely home cooked meals , we ate in for all 3 nights

This has been a truly wonderfull experience for our family with 2 teens. The staff was amazing and the food outsterding - the best in Sri Lanka we have tried.

Eranda (the manager) excellent, very friendly and organised great tours. Also went over and above in assisting with the rest of our visit in Sri Lanka, including staying at BOB Yala.

They didn't make any arrangments for the bad weather.

What an unique experience it was! If you love nature and want to be away from the crowd, well here is your paradise. We have my wife and I been so moved there, the staff, the river, the food, the peaceful nature around … Plus they did organize for us an evening sunset of a row boat, just by ourselves to enjoy an amazing view of the famous Sigirya Lion Rock, stunning and peaceful. And what a kindness from the staff, thank you so much !!

“Adventure in the nature”

The place was even better and more comfortable than we expected! The bathroom was great — while using it, I could actually see monkeys and hornbills right outside, which was amazing. It’s a perfect adventure for families with kids — sleeping in the open air but still very comfortable. The food was tasty, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the surrounding nature is just incredible.

An extraordinary place a bit off the beaten track but absolutely worth the drive for an unique jungle experience. We loved the treehouse as well as the roommates 🐸🐛 The employees were all very kind and the food options were quite nice. The bed was really comfortable and we enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the jungle. We also liked the outside shower and the fact that the mosquitos spared us. The river close by with the free spa therapy was also lovely.

The immersive experience in the nature was great, we slept on a house tree with monkeys, birds and animals all around. Definitely a unique experience for nature lovers. Food was also great

Back of Beyond is a little piece of heaven. The staff is absolutely wonderful (among them the naturalist Induwara, who is not only incredibly nice, but also clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about nature). The treehouse is very well equipped, and it offers the most unique experience: a full immersion in the jungle. Bonus: the food was delicious. We really appreciated the way everything is organized around respecting the environment at Back of Beyond, and we loved all the proposed activities, such as loris spotting and safari, where we had fun and learned a lot. Very, very highly recommend!

The design of the Boulder Houses is thoughtfully done—you genuinely feel like you’re sleeping within nature itself. So peaceful, so green, and so serene. The hosts were also exceptionally warm and welcoming, making the stay even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking to disconnect and reconnect with nature.

Its a really interesting option to stay in central Sri Lanka. You are literally living in the middle of jungle. A lot of nature sounds around you. Unique place.
