Absolutely lovely room and big bathroom, fantastic pool and views of Sigriya rock are unparalleled. The views make Aliya stand out and really worth the stay. Great for car transfers and tours around the area, really well located.

This property was one of my favourites for the whole trip , the value for money, very friendly staff and hotel layout and grounds were fantastic. Incredible doing yoga up on a platform overlooking rice paddies. The gym was great.

Amazing staff, Alisha was fantastic and assisted with everything we required. Fantastic pool. Kids loved the recycled paper and pottery making activities.

Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent, buffet for dinner not as good. We did try the Dragon restaurant- which was excellent but under utilized due to lack of tourists- the menu was limited but very good- they essentially opened it for us and one other group. Yoga was great with Manuli. Perfect way to start the day.

“Amazing, tranquil retreat”

Staff are so welcoming, happy and helpful, they made the beautiful atmosphere throughout the hotel. Views are exceptional. Food is delicious, the best buffet we’ve had, everything such high quality. The pool is out of this world, you can spend days and days there relaxing. Theme throughout the hotel is remarkable. Yoga classes are a lovely touch. Toiletries are really good. Food and drinks are reasonable priced. Would recommend, and will visit again :)

“A great stay”

The place is really amazing, with a beautiful view of the Lion rock from the pool area. The pool is really nice too and it’s great to jump in after a long day. Alisha was extremely helpful with everything, she helped me organise a birthday surprise for my friend and was always there to support us with little things :) She really made our stay super easy and comfortable:)

Absolutely loved my time at Aliya Resort. Everything was fantastic – from the beautiful surroundings to the comfortable rooms and great service. A special shout-out to Shashi, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. On top of being efficient and attentive, Shashi has an infectious smile that just brightens your day. Genuinely made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Highly recommend this resort, and hope to be back soon! Charging bay for electric tuk tuk rental available at this property.

Beautifully designed and lots of amenities. Great views of sigiriya from the pool and restaurant. Beautiful large rooms.

This hotel is surrounded by nature (you can spot some squirrels, monkeys and peacocks), it has a very calm atmosphere, beautiful large rooms, clean and comfortable, very good amenities (huge pool, well equipped gym etc), amazing breakfast and an incredibly kind staff who will welcome you with a big smile and be ready to assist you with anything anytime. We definitely recommend doing the elephant safari with Mr. Akash! We did it and although we had some concerns about how ethic it would be, it was an amazing experience and we were very pleased with the respectful way he approached the animals, always giving them space and waiting for them to come close by themselves, never chasing them and avoiding the places where there were other jeeps already. He is clearly very passionate about his job and showed an incredible knowledge about wild life which made us feel very safe at all times and also added a lot to the experience with interesting information. Amazing places are nothing special without an amazing staff, so I would like to highlight the kindness of everyone working at this hotel :)

It was a special spot and yoga and sound bath with Manuli was very special. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. I have severe allergies and the chef personally walked me through the buffet. Far exceeded expectations and short tuc tuc to climb the rock. Sunrise was worth it
