Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere so perfect for a getaway from the busy city buzz. The inside looks completely different from the countryside feel outside. The room and bathroom are like from a luxurious hotel. The hosts were an older couple, they didn't know we were coming so it was quite a big surprise in the beginning but then they just rolled with it. The room was ready, they showed us around the garden where they were growing their own vegetable. Very hospitable.

We are so happy to have selected Sophia's Guest house for our stay, and trusting the reviews and images of this property. My partner and I stayed for a few days in July 2024, and had the most warm, friendly, welcoming stay in a while whilst travelling in Greece. Sophia and Thanassis keep a very-well run guest house, with their hospitality being the best asset to their already beautiful property. Their welcome is of that of a long-time seen friend or relative, nothing is much trouble if they can help it. Sophias' cooking is delicious, as everything is made of their own produce and lots of love. Breakfast and meals are available upon request, and I recommend you go for it - fresh ingredients, great cooking, lovely pitas or other dishes prepared from Sophia is a must served in their main living area. All rooms are tasteful, good size depending of size of party, with new bathrooms and nicely designed showers - absolutely spotless in cleanliness, and towels can be replaced daily. Sideras is rich in its own history as a community, and a great spot for short trips to the area and close access to Egnatia Road too. A lovely space to rest, relax and eat well. Enjoy!

Sofia and Thanassis are the epitome of Greek hospitality. If you’re looking for an authentic experience, to be welcomed with open arms into the home of the most generous hosts, as though a long lost relative, then you must visit Sofia’s Guest House.

“A gem of a find!”

Acrotel Sofia's guesthouse was an amazing find! The rooms are of good size, very clean, with very comfortable beds and pillows, and nicely decorated. It's very easy to park just outside, next to the chicken coop (don't worry, you can't hear them as they don't make any noise). The hotel is set in a small village, from where you can do multiple day trips or just sit outside and relax in the beautiful garden. By far, the best asset are the hosts. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, providing the most amazing breakfast. This includes (amongst others) best-tomatoes-ever, cucumbers and other vegetables from their garden, freshly laid eggs from their chickens, amazing homemade spinach /cheese pie. Sofia and Thanasis were very kind, gave us recommendations, told us about the history of the village, and we loved chatting with them while having breakfast. We would give them 20/10, but booking.com only accepts 10/10.

Fantastic stay. Room definitely exceeded our expectations! Looks like very posh hotel room. Amazing terrace with swing for a rest. Hosts also showed us goats,sheep,chicken and kittens,so our little one absolutely loved it, we were very pleased. We can definitely recommend staying at this place!

This was such a special stay – we where completely blown away by the kindness of our hosts. We arrived around 7 in the evening and even though we hadn’t arranged anything in advance, Sofia offered to cook us dinner. We happily accepted and it was delicious! Staying at a rural location, in a real farm house, with chicken, rabbits, goats, and sheep around you, a huge variety of fruits and herbs in the garden, all delicious home made food on the table, plus a room with facilities on latest luxury standard, rarely to find such location, and worth that money. But most appreciated is the hospitality of the host. You feel as if instantly integrated in his family. Rooms have air condition and heating, the latter you might need, because Sidera is on 925 m above sea level and can really be cold at night; no problem, an additional electric heater is provided as well. Bikes are there, very useful for going around. Come here to enjoy the silence of the nature and the clean air.

“The best local Greek indulgence we could wish for”

We booked this accomodation for our first night in Greece with the hope to get a local and comfortable stay. And how we hit the nail with Acrotel Sofia's guest house. Named after the mother of the house, we received a very warm welcome in a beautiful setting with lots of green, flowers and the white/blue colors that are so typical for Greece. We were offered a traditional Greek coffee on arrival and we were guided around the beautiful flower & vegetable garden and the farm animals by the owner. We were lucky to taste the great quality produce from the farm both for dinner and breakfast (must have). Prepared by Sofia, we were indulged from day one in Greek flavours with home made goat cheese and fresh milk, cakes, honey from the area, Greek salad and so many more treats. We also got the opportunity to join the owner on an evening walk with the goats which was a truly unique experience. The rooms were also very spacious, modern & clean - if in the area, it's definitely worth a stay!
