Wonderful view from our bedroom. Quiet with good facilities and I’d love the fact that we could do our laundry! Good location next to the Olive parks which allowed us to walk five minutes for lunch and coffee, et cetera.

Everything is perfect! The view and the facilities were awesome. You could use the kitchen to cook yourself and do the laundry . Will definitely stay again next time

“A lovely place to stay with beautiful sea views”

The view is beautiful and calming, the apartment is very clean and quite bright, plenty of parking space, quiet location, spacious and comfortable bathroom with great heating/drying system, daily restock of coffee/towels/trash collection plus daily cleaning, twin room had two single beds with rather hard mattresses, kitchenette with a microwave oven allowed some very basic cooking. Overall a nice place we’d gladly return to as Shodoshima is a lovely off the beaten path island. I recommend this place to people who have a car (it’s too remote to be there without a car, Shodoshima also isn’t a bike island like Naoshima or Teshima).

This was the best accommodation of our trip. The beautiful sea view and the rich/sumptuous breakfast left a deep impression on us, as did the simple and clear check-in/check-out procedure.

This property is a hidden gem — elegant, peaceful, and perfectly designed for relaxation. The terrace overlooks a stunning bay with panoramic views of the islands, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The sandy beach right across the road is quiet and ideal for swimming, and it’s so convenient to step out in a swimsuit and enjoy the water. The building is modern and stylish, while the room is spacious with large, very comfortable beds. A fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and clothes dryer make it especially convenient for longer stays.

The ocean view was wonderful! The beach was quiet and clean. We could enjoy the peaceful morning swim.

First of all we loved our stay here. It was very relaxing and we basically had the beach all to ourselves - island vibes are there. The breakfast was amazing, you get a basket with a full grown meal in the morning at your door and it was always delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious. Drying clothes in the washroom was also very convenient.

By far my best stay in Japan. Good quality appliances and huge apartment. The host was extremely quick and pleasant. The view is amazing. And it is a great non tourist starting point to the art islands around.

Nice size room, lovely view, great to be able to sit outside on the terrace. Very clean.

To me at the age of 80 this is the new kind of accommodation (unlike traditional hotel or ryokan in Japan) which meets our requirements. Being a self contained lodge with all necessary facilities such as washing/dry machine and fully equipped kitchen we did't miss anything more. Since it was a low season many of local restaurants were not fully open, so self catering is good to go.
