Some places give you a bed to sleep in. Mi Casa Es Tu Casa gives you a feeling of belonging. From the moment I arrived, I felt less like a guest and more like a friend welcomed into a family. The staff are genuinely caring, kind, and always willing to help with a smile. Their warmth creates an atmosphere that is difficult to describe but impossible to forget. One of the most beautiful aspects of this hostel is the people it brings together. Travelers from all over the world gather here, sharing stories, cultures, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The spacious common areas make it easy to connect with others, and what starts as a conversation often turns into a friendship. A special thank you to Gjystina for preparing such a delicious traditional breakfast every morning. It felt like a true taste of Albanian hospitality. And thank you to ALAMA for the wonderful dinners that brought everyone around the table and made every evening feel special. What touched me most is that this hostel is much more than a business. It is a project built with heart, social values, and genuine care for the local community. You can feel the passion behind every detail and the love that has been invested in creating this unique place. Very welcoming atmosphere and staff, loved the decorations so much, was very cozy and homely. The bike hire was so useful, cheap and a great way to explore the area. Even though we only stayed for a night it was so fun and comfortable.

The hostel is a nice oasis in the middle of the city with a large garden area. The room was clean and comfortable and good value for money. Staff were helpful overall and we appreciated being able to easily hire bikes to explore more. The lovely cleaner who also makes breakfast and family dinner was such a blessing to meet. She is an asset to the hostel, so friendly, happy and kind.

If you come to Shkodra, you should not miss out on this hostel. You will be blessed with the most amazing stay and probably meet some of the coolest, most interesting people you have ever come across. This house has a soul and is really homey, you will feel comfortable immediately. All the staff is so friendly and amazing. Gjystina especially will shower you with so much love and light. The beds are comfy, everything is very clean, and the kitchen is well-equipped. I highly, highly recommend!

The hostel is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been, it has a very special story that you can read on a small booklet left in the rooms. The space is beautiful, well decorated and very clean. Staff is fantastic, super friendly and helpful and breakfast is very delicious, clearly made with love and care. On top of that, there are dogs and turtles around.

“Best stay in Shkoder”
Staff are really friendly , Edi , Justina Ariza and also the volunteers surely was one oh highlights for me . They will provide you with all the information you need to take the most of region . You can book tours with them , which is very helpful . It’s very clean and extremely cozy . There are common areas , great to have a chat with other travellers . It’s a place to slow down . Kitchen facilities are awesome , full equipped kitchen and spacious . Also location is amazing , right in the Main Street . 100%recommend it .
