“Perfect stay by the river”

A serene environment and wonderful location make staying here a must do when in Albania. A trip to the river is unforgettable and the team at this guest house make it all the more special. The rooms are small but have all you need, plus the water pressure is excellent. There are also specific sunbeds to use for the hotel guests which is a great benefit.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful in aiding with parking/boat transfers. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast at the guesthouse and both were beautiful. There was a bar onsite, restaurant and sunbeds. Thank you for a lovely stay

“BEST PLACE IN SHALA RIVER!”

This place I think is the best place in Shala River. It’s down the end of the river so you don’t get the crowds like you would right near the drop off/pick up part. The staff were so lovely! They made us feel so special and looked after. The guest house is right on the water so it was so easy to go back to your room whenever you needed to. They put on a fire for us at night and the dinner was so yummy! After visiting all of the other guesthouses for lunch and dinner- I think ours was the best!

We stayed at Guri I Lekës right after our hike from Theth to Valbona and it was excellent from start to finish. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and cozy, with an air conditioning unit that works really well and was already running to cool the room before we even walked in. The rainshower is another highlight, the perfect way to refresh after a hot day outside. The guesthouse is located a little further down the river, which makes it a peaceful and quiet spot to relax. Breakfast is generous and varied, with coffee, fresh fruit, petulla, jams, honey and cheese. Plenty to set you up for the day! The dinner menu is a bit limited, but the dishes we tried were very well made and of excellent quality. The service is what really makes this place stand out. The river beds are free for guests, and any time you ask for water they are quick to provide it, always with ice. Everyone we met was welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home, with countless small gestures that made our stay feel extra special. I didn’t catch their names, but the person who walked us from the boat and the guy behind the bar were especially kind, chatty and helpful. Special mention also goes to Topi (?), the bar guy’s dog, who kept us company while we were there and is always up for a belly rub. The guesthouse also offers kayaks for rent, which is a great way to enjoy the river and lake. Transport is also very well organised. Before arrival they sent us a picture of the boat so we knew exactly where to go at Komani ferry. When leaving, they made sure we could catch an earlier boat so we didn’t miss our bus back to Shkoder, all without any hassle. In short, cozy and comfortable rooms, excellent food, amazing service, a peaceful riverside location, kayaks to explore the river and lake, and even a friendly dog to top it all off. Highly recommended.

“Amazing”

The location was very central amongst other hotels/restaurants. The staff were excellent- in particular, Flori, he was very accommodating and friendly. He collected us and dropped us at the boat which was lovely. The room was perfect for 2 nights.

Everything was perfect. I had a best night sleeping ever here. The owner and the staff were amazing, very kind, professional people. I can only recommend this place. Thanks a lot

“Clean rooms, beautiful location + super friendly Hosts”

Spacious room in a beautiful location right by the Shala River. Room and bathroom were very clean. Dinner and the included breakfast were not only tasty but large portions as well. Highlight were the hosts though. They helped us organise the boat trip and were super friendly and accommodating

“The best stay in lumi shales!! Amazing service”

Absolutely everything! This place is 10/10, the staff go above and beyond for you all the time, whatever you need. The rooms are extremely clean with modern bathrooms and comfortable memory foam pillows. Towels get changed every day. The breakfast was the biggest breakfast we’ve had in Albania so far. Eggs, meat, a whole platter of fruit, pancakes, honey and then choice of hot drink (great lattes) or juice, and then water. Compared to other guest houses that just offer bread or pancakes this one is amazing! The guest house is in the best location and has private sunbeds which are usually 10 euro a day to rent, but free if you stay there. They even have kayaks which are 10 euros normally but free if you stay, so we got to kayak twice during our stay!! The food served was good for lunch and they can bring it to you. Honestly, this place was amazing. I can’t explain how relaxed we were and felt so at home. Thank you for everything!!!

So beautiful and peaceful. The staff were absolutely brilliant. The bathroom is big, clean and well-finished with a good shower. Campfires at night and a friendly puppy - what more could you ask for?!

We stayed two nights in this wonderful location. The room was pretty small, yet had a fantastic view overlooking the river. The hosts were wonderful and breakfast was excellent. Communication was super easy. Albania at its best.

Great location and hosts, we had free access to the sun-beds which were great during the day. Great for a 1-2 night stay.
