I loved the location, and the property was great. Although tiny, it had absolutely everything we needed, and it didn't feel cramped at all!

A beautiful and comfortable place to relax and explore the surrounding area. Even spotted some (friendly) monkeys in the surrounding woods.

“Amazing house in a great location”

This is a really amazing place - more like a compact boutique hotel than a surf house. It’s been really beautifully decked out and at a quality you’d expect to pay far more for. The kitchen’s great. Everything you’d need for self catering. Lovely bathroom. Nice living area with banquette seating for lounging about. . Big sundeck and hammock. Comfortable sleeping area. Some former reviews have mentioned problems with light. Those windows are now all fitted with blinds. It’s up hill from the beach. You can walk to the nearest one but if you have a car I would recommend driving 10 minutes to Shirehama, which is far nicer.

“Beautiful, relaxing, amazing”

Everything was great! The host, the house, the location. The house is extremely cozy and clean. Everything you need is available: small kitchen, couch, nice place to sit outside! The beds are comfy and when you’re lucky you can see the stars from there. It’s a ten minute walk to the beach where you can surf or chill. Also restaurants and a 7/11 are there. The area is great for hiking and cycling (bikes were there). Shishikui is a bit remote and quiet, but perfect for a stressless getaway if you’ve been visiting Japanse cities. From Osaka is a direct bus to Shishikui station, so it’s easy to get there. The bus ride alone is worth taking. Ryota was an excellent host, and the surf lessons were awesome!

“Beach cabin getaway”

Ryota was very friendly and flexible about everything. I extended my stay as I liked the place so much. The cabin is built to a very high standard and was immaculately clean. L loved the wooden features and clever design as well as the decking area. I also went surfing with Ryota (he has boards for rent and offers lessons). Short drive to the town and beach.

Pacifico Surf House Mountain is one of the best accommodations we had on our trip. The mini house is very well and thoughtfully constructed. As is almost always the case in Japan, all the utensils such as hairdryers, shower gel, toothbrushes etc. are provided. These are of particularly high quality (eco/organic) here. The beds under the roof are very comfortable and you sleep excellently. To fall asleep, you can watch the stars through the skywindow. The surroundings are very quiet. Everything is quiet, so you can relax on the terrace. Ryota, the owner, offers free bicycles that are great for exploring the area. If you want, you can also book surfing and stand-up paddle with Ryota. The water is perfect for this and still warm enough at the end of October.
