Both the dinner and the breakfast were perfect. Also a real Onsen was great as compared to the Gassho where we only had a small tub.

“A Great Stay At Shirakawago”
The staff were all courteous and friendly. The public bath is OK. The food, "oishi". The bed, pillow and comforter are clean and nice to touch. Our stay seemed like we are still at home. As always, accommodation in Japan has superb cleanliness DNA. Added bonus was, the hotel is just 210m from the Shirakawa Station. We had a great stay. We will be back for sure.

“Perfect place to spend a night or two”
The room was big and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Set breakfast and dinner included in the room rate. Top quality and quantity. The location is excellent, 5 min walking from the bus station. Public bathhouse within the premises, although you have to pay a small fee to use it (much less than if you are not a hostess) Shoes must be left in the main entrance (locked) as the whole place is shoes free (slippers are provided)

“Worth it.”
The staff are so helpful with everything, from check in until our check out, they never failed to serve with a smile. The food at the dinner and breakfast were plentyful, served and presented so elegantly and the taste are wonderfully outstanding. Loved the hida beef!!!

“Beautiful hotel!”
The hotel is super beautiful, with view on the river and indoor and outdoor onsen. I requested a vegetarian lunch and dinner and they could accomodate it. The dinner was exceptional! The staff was also super kind, making us use the shoe drier (as it was heavily raining). The toilet is shared but is very close to the rooms and super clean. The shower is at the onsen, as it is traditionally.

“Perfect location, Amazing food and relaxing hot spring”
The location - The hotel locates right next to the river, also opposite to the bus terminal which is the centre of the village. The food - The food was amazing, both the dinner and the breakfast. The staff - All the staff are very helpful and polite. The Onsen - The hot spring was so relaxing, especially the outdoor hot spring which is overlooking the beautiful river and mountain.

“Great location from which to experience Shirakawa”
Proximity to UNESCO world heritage site and bus station. Location near river was relaxing. Onsen was also relaxing. Huge breakfasts and dinners.

“Shirakawa Stay”
Location, it is right by the bus station. It overlooks the river if staying on the river side, or you have a view of the mountain on the other side. Traditional Japanese style room and food were magnificent, and were able to cater for lactose intolerance people/people with allergies. The bathhouse was splendid having a sauna and a lot of space within. Nice lounge area, as well as they allowed luggage to be kept before check in/after check out.
