Super helpful staff!

“Great but slightly misleading”

The staff were lovely. Two elderly ladies greeted us. We struggled to communicate with the language barrier, but it was a funny and fun exchange. The owner arrived late, but surprised us by paying for our dinner in the amazing Okonomiyaki restaurant, reccomended to us, next door. Drinks including Sake and beer were included with the room.

- Spacious apartment - Clean - Drinks included - perfect location to do some hikes and visit some temples - the kindness and service of the owner (monk) goes beyond everything. He offered some car rides to the station, suggest some spots to visit and was available all the time for any questions.

Comfortable and modern

I came late through the check in time because I missed the train and the host was understanding with me. The room was big, could be for four people, but I was alone and had all the amenities and was comfy. Would recommend if you plan to stay in Shingu.

“Perfect self-contained apartment, friendly helpful owner”

It’s a self-contained 1-room apartment, complete with kitchen and shower-room. All modern. Beautiful clean tatami floor and comfortable futons. Amazingly, as an extra welcome, the kitchen is stocked with a selection of local drinks (including Wakayama-produced saké). The owner met us on arrival, explained everything clearly. All in all, if i come back to Shingu i will definitely want to stay here again.

Friendly host who allowed me to borrow a bike to explore the area. Lovely accomodation with easy access to the train station and bus lines. Would recommend to anyone!

The place is fully equipped, thoughtfully offering free sake and beer, with a clean and tidy environment and a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere.The location are excellent; it takes only 30 seconds to get from the Airbnb to the bus stop.

“Pleasant stay in the small town, would not complain.”

The host/owner was very kind and helpful. We needed to check out early hours in the morning and required help to organise a taxi in this small town, which the owner did for us. The place is clean and tidy as advertised, great value for the comfort provided.

I highly recommend staying here. The room was large and very well maintained, with very a pristine kitchen and bathroom. The location is perfect, and the host was very kind and helpful!

Everything! The owner is so kind and lovely. He made sure to explain every detail about the accommodation and even gave free soft drinks plus sake to us. In the end, we even decided to stay one more night than we were planning in the beginning. When we were saying goodbye, he brought a really nice final gift: a Kumano Kodo bag. Thank you for everything! This stay will remain in our hearts.

“A very comfortable stay with the added bonus of a Buddhist ceremony to start the day”

The room was perfectly comfortable and the property well located. It was an added bonus to enjoy the experience of a Buddhist chanting ceremony in the morning with the monk who manages this property - he is a very charismatic person who made us feel very welcome and was happy to explain aspects of Buddhism. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.
