Lovely authentic Japanese house. Room 3 upstairs was great - tatami mats and super comfy mattresses. It had a wash hand basin too. Lovely to have the run of the house, a small kitchen and communal sitting room and eating area with heated table

“We enjoyed our stay!”

Very cosy minshuku, taking in not too many guests, so we were able to use their facilities comfortably. It's in a convenient location, with short walks from Shingu Station, the castle ruins and the 2 main shrines. They were kind enough to allow us to check in in the morning so we could go exploring without having to rush back to check in later. The family room for 4 persons was spacious and the futons/bedding provided were comfortable.

The traditional character of the building is charming. We were met by a friendly and helpful host. The space is very comfortable and homely with a kitchenette and lounge space available.

I had a very nice stay at Shingu Guest House! The lady in charge was really nice and quick to answer my questions via private messages. The room was spacious with a private sink and the futon was surprisingly very confortable (I've slept on a lot of different ones so I can tell the difference). You have access to a small kitchen with a microwave as well. The stairs to the room were very steep so if you have an issue with that maybe reconsider or try to contact the guest house, they have a room on the first floor. The house is 10 min walk from the station and less than 2 min walk from the nearest bus stop.

We liked the size of the bedroom (tatami floor, with space to stretch) and access to our own basin (note the main bathroom / toilet on the ground floor were shared). The futon mattresses were comfortable. The guesthouse was in a quiet street, and only a short walk from the train station and places to eat. The host was welcoming and responsive and gave a helpful tour of the house and facilities. We appreciated having access to the shared kitchen and fridge and also to bicycles.

Very kind host, old fashioned traditional japanese house, with decorations, and all amenities (we used the washing machine).

The place is very traditional and it's basically having your own home. Traditional rooms with tatami and very comfortable futon. Kitchen, bathroom and showers are shared by the 4 or 5 rooms there, but they're clean and comfortable. The lady is very nice and explains everything perfectly.

The traditional Japanese house is cozy and warm. The owner is kind and passionate to introduce all the equipments in the house.

Beautiful property with traditional tatami flooring in the upstairs bedrooms. Kitchen is well stocked and the place has nice amenities like towels, extra blankets etc. Bikes are free to ride around the city which I used to get to the 3 main shines, couldnt ask for anything more! Host was super accomodating and allowed me to check in an hour early, would stay here again.
