“Top of my list if I visit shingu again!”
Perfect. Great location. Facilities in perfect condition. Parking (two spaces). Great communication from staff and seamless check in process. Room and bed much bigger than expected.

“Great little hotel with excellent facilities”
We had the triple room with balcony which was huge with seated cushions. The facilities are very new and in good condition with a great supply of products to use. Excellent value for money. The Ajito restaurant is highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at Hostel Ajito in Shingu. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming and took great care of me during my stay. They were always attentive and made sure everything was going well. They even helped me secure a last-minute reservation for the boat experience, which I really appreciated. The hostel itself is spotless, very new, and extremely well organized. Everything is thoughtfully arranged and very comfortable. I also highly recommend the restaurant run by the hostel owner. It is truly fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was warm and friendly. They made me feel very welcome and looked after me so well. I would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Shingu. Thank you again for such a lovely experience.

“Great stay for a couple of nights, very local and humble!”
I loved my stay here and couldn’t recommend it more! The room was a good size, comfortable bed and bedding. Spotlessly clean and organised. I was a solo traveller staying for two nights, and the owner invited me to their Izakaya which opens at 17:00. The Izakaya also called Ajito, was full, yet they made space for me at the bar. Great food, drinks, atmosphere, company! I went again the next evening, and the owner cooked me a fresh fish he just caught! Overall it was lovely! I will definitely return!

It's very clean. Close to a big book shop and supermarcket. It's 10 min walk from Shingu train station, but 4 min walk to a bus stop to Nachi/Kumano Taisha.

Great location, only a short (~10 min) walk from the main train station, this hostel is situated in a quiet area of the city. The room was clean and simple, and the facilities were also clean and I have no complaints. The check-in/check-out process is super easy and without hassle.

I had a wonderful experience at this guest house and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! 1️⃣ Great Location: The place is super convenient—just a short walk from the station and close to major attractions. There’s even a Lawson convenience store nearby, making it easy to grab snacks or essentials. 2️⃣ Spotlessly Clean: The room and shared spaces were immaculate, which made my stay very comfortable. It’s clear that the host takes hygiene seriously! 3️⃣ Thoughtful Amenities: I was impressed by how well-stocked the place was—they provided everything from body lotion and makeup remover to deodorizing spray.
