Pretty much everything about the hotel & room exceeded my expectations. I often stay at the Holiday Inn for work; for personal travel I tried the Holiday Inn Express in Shenyang. Great decision!

- nice staff (you will need a translation app if you can't speak Mandarin) - very caring house keeping staff including a very nice lady who heard me coughing continuously and insisted on knocking on my door and offering me water to check if I was ok.

Everything is still the same! I stayed here 3 times already from Sep to Oct so I'm already very satisfied with everything the hotel provides. I'll possibly come back here again another time next year...not exactly when yet because I need to renew my passport. But most likely it will be later than September...possibly Oct or Nov. Then this time around, I managed to take the convenient bikes around the city; it can get me to places where I wanna go. However, you need to be extremely careful when riding the bike to NOT hit anyone including both the other cyclists or scooter riders or the pedestrians!

Very spacious nicely styled room with high ceilings and everything needed for both leisure and business trip. The hotel is conveiently located in the financial center of the city and has shops and transportation means close by, taxi to/from the airport only takes about 30 minutes. Soundproofing is excellent, it literally felt like there was noone else in the hotel. The staff is welcoming and super helpful, though beware that without basic knowledge of chinese you would definitely need a translator app as (which is really a common occurence in China) English is not really spoken and understood. Breakfast was served during quite a big timeframe, dishes are mostly based on Chinese cuisine and, though variety is limited, everything was fresh and delicious, with options covering most of the preferences. Check in desk does work at night which is a big pro for business and layover stays, I arrived at around 2 am and the staff at the reception desk got me through the check-in process extremely fast and pain-free being really nice and cheerful the whole time even at this ungodly hour. I only had a short stay because it was during an overnight layovar but, leaving the hotel, I really wished I could stay longer, would definitely stay here again if I visit Shenyang.
