We had an incredibly relaxing stay at this guesthouse in Sheki, Azerbaijan. The courtyard, surrounded by colorful flowers, felt like a garden. The room is very clean, the bedding soft and comfortable, and a good night's sleep was truly relaxing. The host was warm and attentive, with meticulous attention to detail. I highly recommend this to every traveler!

“A good stay at a local home”

The garden is beautiful with roses and a fountain. The breakfast contains home made bread, cheeses, yogurt and jams. Quite delicious.

We liked that our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good and it was lovely to sit outside in the courtyard. The roses and fountain in the garden were lovely and it is a quiet location, not too far from the town centre.

Fantastic, well-appointed room with a large, clean bathroom. Outside there is a beautiful garden where a good breakfast is served.

“Perfect place to stay Sheki!”

Everything. The room was lovely and spacious with a comfy bed, little kitchenette, good wifi and even a bath-tub. The outside area is so nice…you can enjoy several sitting areas and even play ping-pong! Breakfast was delicious and filling. You can walk everywhere or take the little buses or a taxi. Note…there is a bridge across the river right by the guesthouse that doesn’t show on Google Maps…saves a little walking.

“Wonderful host, fabulous place”

Loved staying at the Museum guest house. We were welcomed at the gate, and shown our huge rooms. They could not take my credit card, so the owner drove us to an ATM, and then gave us a small tour of the town, pointing out some recommended restaurants. It was quite cold in Sheki when we were there (mid April, but we are from India. You may find it to be comfortably warm) but the rooms were well heated, with radiators in all the rooms and a heated towel rack in the bathroom. Sheki town is on one side of a small river/stream, and the hotel is on the other. it's extremely quiet, but being next to the police station, we never worried about safety. There's a small footbridge over the river opposite the hotel entrance. Using this, the town is about a 10 minute walk. Google maps did not know about this and showed us routes that would involve walking 2-3 km. We took a Grab taxi to and from Sheki palace - about 1.50 manat each way. The hotel owner arranged a car for a day trip to Lahic, and the price was lower than Grab. Breakfast was good -- bread and multiple kinds of cheeses and preserves and the ubiquitous tea. On one day, we also got some sausages.

Breakfast items was limited. Could have made better, if some fruits and croissants were added to it.

The room was really nice, very clean, spacious and with a luxurious touch. The bed was really comfortable. The room was well equiped with a small kitchen corner. The garden was beautiful. The host was very nice. We were especially delighted by the possibility to enjoy the delicious breakfast in our room.

An extraordinary inner courtyard, a garden with many-many flowers, fountain, swing, gazebo, waterfall, seating areas, lots of ambient light, a small lake with ornamental fish and some very friendly, silent ducks. A property surrounded by high walls, the gate of which, once closed, leads you into an oasis of tranquility and relaxation, as if out of the stories of the 1001 Nights of Scheherazade. There's also a huge screen where you can watch football matches or anything else that can make a private party, an evening with friends or family a success. The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable and interestingly decorated, with bedroom furniture that will greatly impress your eyes. Very friendly staff, generous and hearty breakfast.

Very clean and nice house and Akmed was really helpful , I would recommend families for a pleasant stay in this property.

Very well managed property. Rooms very tastefully done with all amenities. Owner who is a policeman stays at the property and himself meets n greets his clients. His office is decked with pictures and memorial of his father and grandfather who are heroes of Azerbaijan.

“Pretty, as long as you don't need the toilet.”

An Insta-worthy place, but it would be great if the toilet seats were fixed to the toilet. The decor is over the top, in a fun, tongue-in-cheek way. (At least I hope they're in on the joke.) The house was thumping when we arrived in the evening. The shower was excellent, and the breakfast was also very good. Location was close to the historic Old Town.
