“The best cheap hostel you can find at 2.5 km from the center”
The distance from the center make this hostel absolutely stunning. 4 metro stops and you arrive in Nanjing road. With the bus, 40 minutes and you are in the bund river view. The hostel is clean, bathroom have hair dryer and shampoo, and you have a locker in your "room" (that is not a room, because it's a bed cabin)

Really amazing place. Location was great (close to subway station, and also close to a big shopping mall). Staff was very friendly (and offered me to store my luggage at the reception instead of carrying it to the second floor, as well as leaving it for longer after checking out). Bathroom "area" was nicely organised, very clean and well-planned in terms of noise, and lobby was pretty comfy to sit in in the evening. Staff was of course english-speaking, though they also didn't mind me wanting to practice Chinese a bit. I stayed in the 4-bed room, and it really exceeded my expectations - it was basically a capsule hotel rather than a dorm room. Pretty good isolation, small shade completely blocking any light, and each capsule has own electric socket, lamp and a small locked storage space.

Extremely cheap, and my bed was really clean to be honest. I was concerned about the noise or smeels, but the people staying with me same room were quiet and respetables to other.

“Not a bad budget choice”
I only stayed one night so couldn't comment on anything. It looked like a lot of my roommates were long-term lodgers as the place was quite 'lived in'. The cleaner was nice.
