“A very nice quaint hotel all self serviced. Well situated.”

The building in which we passed the night was in a quaint, cosy two story building (which had once been the post office). Every thing was self service; we saw not staff in our building but everything worked OK, including a kitchen. (The linked Aldan Hotel across the road can help if needed and has a good restaurant (great fish soup). Also across the road we had an excellent dinner at the Pakkhus restaurant (recommend the sole fish and lobster. The location of the hotel was very central to the town. The room was small and basic but quite adequate.

“Quiet waterfront stay in Seydisfjordur”

Room was quite big. Well controlled heating. Property has a communal kitchen which was good for making one’s breakfast. Idyllic waterfront location. Keyless entry and online check in was very convenient.

“Cozy place!”

Got stuck in Seyðisfjörður in a snow storm and this was the nicest and coziest place to be till it was over. Good people - the staff and the other guests! After the storm I got the see the landscape outside my window which was just stunning. I relied on public transport and the bus stop is just on the other side of the road.

Good location and looks very picturesque. Lovely view across the water to the blue church. Our room was small but comfortable. We went for breakfast at their near-by restaurant (also where you check in) and it was the best breakfast we had in Iceland - we especially liked how crispy the bacon was.

Very beautiful view, perfect location. Had both dinner & breakfast at hotel’s Aldan restaurant and both were very good.

Loved the hotel, resturant and the town! Rooms were right balance of tradition and modern. Great communal areas and dinner was the best meal I have had in Iceland!
