“Not clean”
It seemed that the room had not been cleaned after the previous guest. There were (body) hairs on the wrinkled sheets and bedding. The latter had no cover either, they brought it later, but it was also covered in hairs.

“Unclean and unpleasant room in an apartment block”
The apartment is not too far from the airport. Although we were not happy with the condition of the apartment, the owners were responsive and understanding. They offered solutions (like cleaning the bathroom again), but as we arrived in the evening, it was not really an option.
