Overview
This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast. Guesthouse Bitra B&B’s simple rooms have either private or shared bathroom facilities. They provide views of Mount Hekla or the surrounding countryside. Bitra Guesthouse is a 40-minute drive from Reykjavík. Thingvellir National Park and Geysir are 50 km away. Northern Lights spotting is possible during winter.

The cleaniness is a ten out of ten. The bathrooms are almost up to german standart and the breakfast Buffet was really nice as well.

I had a wonderful stay! The owners are incredibly kind and made me feel welcome from the very first moment. The highlight, however, was the impressive breakfast—fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to the day. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

Very friendly hosts, good breakfast, nice and calm countryside venue near Selfoss. We spent 2 nights here and it was a great base for our daytrips within this period.

The joists were really friendly, shared with is their story. Despite us as the only guest for the night, their service was impeccable. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. The location was also great as a base foe the golden circle and the South Coast.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts. The room we stayed in was large, and the house has many amenities, for a reasonable total price. The breakfast buffet was also very good. I recommend it.

We were greeted by the friendly host who gave us a choice of 2 different rooms. He explained about the Guest house and the volcano in the distance from our window. In the morning he gave us some suggestions for the day’s activities which was very helpful. There was plenty of bathrooms so no waiting. There was plenty of choices for breakfast.

It is a lovely family house♥️ the owners were very friendly family. It is super clean and the breakfast was really delicious. And they knocked our door when the nortern lights come :) it was around 8 pm. we saw the lights clearly from the apartments window. Specially thanks to the owners
