The cottage is perfectly equipped. It's in a peaceful, secluded location, closed to all the main sites of the area. Beautiful views. Great communication with the host. Definitely recommended.

The cottage is very clean, cozy, and well-furnished. The location is great – quiet and peaceful, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. The hosts were very pleasant to communicate with, and the check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had a great stay and would gladly return.

The property was perfect. We received a whole guide to the place, explaining how to get there and where all our different facilities were. We also received an early check in at no extra cost which was extremely helpful for us. The owners were attentive and kept in touch to check in on us. The stay was amazing, thankyou so much. Our stay at Eyvík Cottages was very well prepared by the owners with excellent information about how to get here and how everything works. The view into the wide plane with snowcapped peaks in the far distance is very impressive and calming. Beautiful mosses and lychens on the old rocks around. The hot tub is exquisite. Everything inside the cottage well equipped and comfortable. Many beautiful nature sites accessible by a short drive - as early birds we where often on our own in the sunrise. We enjoyed five nights here and would always happily come back.

“Literally, a hidden gem in Iceland!”

Absolutely everything!! Stunning, remote setting but a perfect location for exploring the region and not too far from amenities. The cottage was well-equipped, super clean and toasty warm! Hot tub was lovely and hot and a luxury treat for a winter night. The view was absolute perfection and the walk down to the lake was a total bonus. Friendly and attentive host and felt very lucky to have stayed there. Would go back in a heart beat!!!

Panoramic views drinking coffee as the sun comes up. Spotlessly clean, easy to get to. Despite being in a row of 5, you would never know as so well designed feels super private. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and of course the hottub that was super sheltered despite the wind but you still got a great view of the stars.

Great location. The apartment has everything you need. We've seen the northern lights from there too.

Fantastic cabin which felt like it was in the middle of nowhere and as we turned up the first night the Aurora was already out and we were lucky enough to see them the second night too. It was an amazing experience to sit in the hot tub (which is ready and filled for you to jump straight in) and we sat there with a drink and watched the dancing lights. Spotlessly clean and a very good size cabin inside. Lovely little extras like a coffee machine with pods. Very good communication from the host. We loved this place and would definitely stay again.

“Wonderful 5-star cottages!”

The cottage we stayed in for two night was fabulous in every way. It was huge, and very well equipped. I especially liked the sharp kitchen knives. The hot tub was lovely to sink into after a long day sightseeing. The weather was against us, sadly, so no visible Northern Lights, but the peace and solitude were fantastic. The bed linens and towels were fresh and clean, and the accommodation guide provided before we arrived answered every possible question. WhatsApp communications with our hosts were always answered very promptly. To assist future guests: Do remember that these cottages are out in a rural area, and that the nearest food shops are 20 minutes away in Selfoss. Please also note that there is no freezer compartment in the fridge.

Great view of northern lights

Location was brilliant for the Golden Vircle and we got to.see the Northern Lights, twice! The kitchen was well equipped and thr hosts were really quick to respond ro any questions. Info received in advance was really helpful for getting there, hot tub was awsome!

Expensive but worth it. Large modern design cabin with everything you need. Including your own private hot tub. Excellent location for seeing northern lights and exploring the golden circle.

The house is excellent in every form for a couple’s getaway: location, equipment, cozyness etc. We could even see the northern lights from the hot tub. The owners very super helpful and managed to arrange my special request as well. I can only recommend it to anyone! Thanks again Íris & Smari!

“Amazing cottage in a beautiful area”

Beautiful location and an amazing cottage. Everything was well organized, great communication and very extensive information beforehand with all the information needed for the cottage. The kitchen and bathroom were very complete, big TV and we especially enjoyed the private hot tub. I would definately recommend this cottage for any future guests!
