Location is really in the countryside, very peaceful surroundings with a view over nearby mountains. It was a good value for money place for 1 night we stayed there. Beds are comfortable! As advertised, there is a shared hot tub for guests.

The host/s are Fantastic !! So welcoming to this very eclectic design house. A bar where everyone gathered. Some guitar playing. A very social meeting area to make you feel it's your home. Plain bedrooms but very comfortable beds . A good continental breakfast. Do yourself a favour and stay here .

Fantastic location for the Golden Circle, stunning views of the Northern lights from the grounds. Relaxed and homely atmosphere, comfortable lounge with honesty bar to use for the evening. Really comfortable beds, warm and cosy room.

“Top spot for Aurora viewing & Golden Circle touring”

Fantastic location for exploring the Golden Circle, it's also in a fairly remote locale so you get good conditions for spotting aurora. It's a short drive down to Selfoss for shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is warm and cosy, and has lots of quirky decorations and vintage furniture. The bed was very comfortable! You must try the hot tub at night, if the sky is clear you get a fantastic view.

Amazing hotel in amazing location with cosy atmosphere that makes you feel like home! I loved all the retro decoration in the common living room area and the guy working in the reception was such a cool and nice person ( listening some great music as well😄) The room was great, very clean and the breakfast was also great with many choices. But, I have to say, the best thing in this hotel was Mia the cat🥰 She is such a sweetheart and I loved the fact that she was inside the hotel. Ten out of ten!

Everything was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the hot tub – it was a real highlight of our stay. The design of the common areas was very cozy, making the whole place feel welcoming and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Very relaxed vibes, they put a lot of effort in the common areas, they feel very warm and cozy. They have games and chess in one of the rooms. A big plus as well was the amount of dogs, all friendly and open for contact! Checking in was easy, and the person welcomingwas very laid back. There was acces to a hottub, and when the northern lights were visible we received a knock on our door.

“It was an overall good experience, but booking.com failed to warn that the restaurant was closed.”

The location was great, we saw the northern lights, and enjoyed some time in the hot tub while doing so. The drive was hard as it was during a snowstorm, but enjoyable, and it made the place even more beautiful in the morning.

Beautiful place with unique atmosphere and eclectic design. We were offered to use breakfast place for our own dinner. Strongly recommend to everyone!

Hotel is in a good location, Selfoss city is close by. Simple but good breakfast. Property has lovely unique homey style. Room was comfortable, and warm in winter conditions.

Loved the decor of the main building, very quirky and stylish. Also loved the dinning room with the Icelandic dolls and knick knacks as well as mix matched plates/cups. Good sized hot tub, nice breakfast buffet and friendly Icelandic horses on site.
