“Rustic and tranquil tented camp, close to Mara, with amazing Masai hospitality”

Lovely tranquil location, with tents nestled in the bush, with beautiful views over the local bush. Staff and hospitality amazing, so was the food. Close proximity to the park, together with variety of onsite activities. Loved it

The property is outside the National Park. It’s conveniently located but I had booked two tents for 4 people. During check out, I was told that the price is only for two adults and they charged me 100$ for two people which burnt a hole in my pocket during the trip. I showed them my reservation from Booking.com which said 4 guest but they didn’t allow me to check out without paying the amount. The property only has wifi at the reception so I couldn’t not even contact Booking.com. The tents were very basic so paying 100$ extra for two people was really stressful. During check out I had asked the staff to check the details but they didn’t tell me anything during check in. The property allowed four people to check in when they had reservations only for 2 people, wow!!!!!! I will neither book this property again nor recommend it to anyone else.

“An Immersive Stay in the Heart of the Wilderness!”

We recently stayed at Tayari Camp during our visit to the Masai Mara, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. We stayed in two identical, spacious camps that provided all the comforts needed in such a remote and stunning environment. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that our beds were perfectly made and rooms were prepped while we were out on game drives. A special touch was the hot water bottles placed in our beds, which kept us warm during the chilly nights when temperatures dipped below 10°C. While the washroom was compact, the hot water ran well, which was crucial after a long day exploring. Internet connectivity was challenging, but that's somewhat expected in the wilderness. We tried a Telekom SIM card, but the reception was weak. The guest Wi-Fi is available only in the restaurant area and could be improved. It's also worth noting that the property is in the process of relocating, so there were minor areas, particularly around the restaurant, that appeared a little neglected. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone, from the courteous wait staff to the dedicated chef, went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The chef prepared delicious meals, including Indian dishes that made us feel right at home, a thoughtful touch that truly enhanced our stay.

A really nice tent with a good bathroom and nice views of the national park. Very friendly staff who were very helpful and up for a chat which we enjoyed! They also organised a game drive for the next day with a wonderful driver, his name was Pete and he went above and beyond to find us all Big 5 plus more!!

The tent, ride, food, staff

The location is not far from the gate of mara Park and it is outside of the park so I don't have to pay double for the park fee. The bed is very comfortable and clean.

The location was excellent, very close to the Sekani gate. The tents were great, comfortable bed, privacy and a great view from the terrasse. Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner were okay.

“Incredible staff, exceptional service”

Amos, Alex, Elisabeth and Harrison were all great to me. The exceptional service provided by the staff made my stay so incredible and comfortable. The room was perfect and tidy. Chef Harrison delivered deliciously cooked and flavorful meals.

“Good stay but not brilliant”

Good location for Maasai Mara reserve. They organised safari, hot air ballooning, Maasai village visit etc. Prices are high for what you get compared to other parts of the world but I suppose that's standard in the area and not the fault of the accommodation. We were lucky the place was available when we visited. I would stay there again but I wouldn't say its great value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful, to the best of their abilities. I think any shortcomings lie with upper management and owners who are not on-site.

Very nice and clean authentic tents. Everything you need is in there. Big and very comfortable. Alex and the rest of the stuff are very friendly. We had a flat wheel and he and others helped us to fix it. Everything you ask for where there. Thank you all very much. We would definitely stay there again.

“Best choice to visit Masai Mara”

Tayari Luxury Tented Camp is amazing. Not only its location five minutes from the Sekenani gate of Masai Mara, makes it very comfortable at an incredible price compared to others in the area; but its staff headed by Alex is very competent. They are all very friendly and the attention to detail makes you feel at home. Hot water bottle, beds made and tents cleaned, food well cared for, everything. The owner, Bradson, is very attentive and friendly as well. Masai Mara is expensive but unique, and this proposal of Tayari Luxury Tented Camp is very successful without a doubt.

It was close to the Mara. That’s literally it. Some of the staff like the night ranger and the waiting staff were sweet and helpful.
