This traditional hotel occupies an attractive half-timbered building set back from the road in a quiet courtyard in the centre of Schwerin, just 200 metres from the lovely Burgsee lake. The Hotel am Schloss offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi internet access. Many of the rooms feature original wooden beams. Let the tasty breakfast buffet tempt you out of bed and get your day off to a good start. From the front door, you can enjoy views of the lake and Schwerin palace which is located on an island. The Mecklenburg State Theatre, the museums and all of Schwerin's sights are easy to reach on foot. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling and Hotel am Schloß can help guests arrange bicycle rentals, provided advance notice is given.

The location is amazing: close to the main station, a bus/traim stop, to the city centre and the castle. A peaceful location, super friendly staff and good breakfast. Elevator. We could leave our luggage after checking out

Spacious room and en suite with everything you need even an electric fan - which was needed. Good location - just a hundred yards to the old town, the same to the castle. Very helpful allowing us to park in the hotel courtyard for a few Euros. Breakfast was plentiful and relaxed.
